Although we are suffering with covid and things have been tough I've got to say that SDL auctions have been excellent throughout and my house sale dealt with promptly and professionally. Decided to sell my property at auction as I wanted a quick sale. Jim rang me in the begining and explained how it all worked. The staff were there if I had any questions. 3 days prior to the auction I had an email advising me of the number of bidders and was updated each day till auction day. Can't find any fault with SDL at all - they did a great job and my property sold fetching more than the reserve.

Liars and cheats. They have even reached the new dizzy heights of sending phishing emails and social engineering emails to individuals. I would call them bullies but it’s the wrong word.. pushy cowards is a better definition. They attempt to work in cahoots with other auction houses and gang up on you. They are clueless, classless and very uncouth.

So many guides increased at 11th hour! I emailed this company before to warn them about dealing with these underhand brothers, but didn’t even get the courtesy of a response. The rumours of this companies arrogance is obviously true!SDL knew that the properties they were advertising had false guides and that they would be increased at the last minute! Joke of a company!Also, note the amount of last minute withdrawn lots they have.. same story every auction! Regularly withdraw 50-70 properties before each auction.. very odd indeed.

We've recently experienced an incredibly high volume of enquiries due to the fact we’re currently managing our biggest ever auction.All properties are assessed on a case-by-case basis by our sales team and on occasion they may judge it appropriate to amend the guide price. We do also work in line with the instructions of our vendors.In terms of our lots, these can be withdrawn for a variety of reasons, sometimes on vendor instruction, if we have no registered bidders or if the legal documents are not ready. We do of course do our best to ensure all lots are offered and sold, however we’re not able to guarantee this.
