No auction company in the uk has more “withdrawn” property than SDL! It’s ridiculous.They advertise a catalogue of 165 lots for February: 58 were withdrawn before the actual auction and they had about 15 sold prior houses even before the auction goes live! In January they advertise a catalogue of 174 lots: 47 were withdrawn before the actual auction and 44 were sold before auction goes live!In December they advertise a catalogue of 129 lots: 49 were withdrawn before auction and 32 sold before auction going live!This is absurd and looks like these guys just pad their website to make auctions look bigger than they are! I’ve seen some explanation about lots withdrawn before because of no legal docs: but 154 withdrawals in the last 3 months due to no legal docs is ridiculous and if that’s true it’s actually negligence.Waste of time sieving through the nonsense in their auctions to try to find any property that won’t be withdrawn or isn’t already sold before going live (another pet hate).This auction is very much fur coat no knickers!staff couldn’t care less either.

We’re incredibly disappointed to receive your review and heavily dispute the claims you make. We have searched our systems and unfortunately cannot find your name anywhere as a vendor, bidder, viewer or legal pack downloader. The statistics you have compiled are not accurate and far inflated from the truth. Our February catalogue had only 37 (not 58) lots withdrawn or postponed prior to the auction. In January this figure was 26 (not 47) and in December it was 39 (not 49). Often if properties get withdrawn prior to auction the circumstances are out of our control, such as if a vendor decides not to sell. This is the same for any auctioneer. All the lots we offer for sale (we've had an average of 155 lots in our National Property Auctions for the past 3 months) have been personally appraised and valued by our team and are entered because we believe they will sell. As you can imagine, carrying out these valuations and the subsequent money laundering and ID checks etc., all take time, resource and money to do so we clearly don’t want them to be withdrawn. Plus, more importantly, we do our utmost to sell all our properties for our vendors. We cannot apologise for your pet hate of selling properties prior to auction. It’s our job to sell properties and we’re proud every single time we do that.

Waste of time.Will withdraw lots with little to no warning.There will also be lots sold prior to the auction.So I wouldn’t get too interested in anything you see that they are selling.Sometimes both, where you’ll wait until next months auction to see a withdrawn property from last month you wanted to bid on sold prior to auction.It’s not a fair system and encourages people to be their worst to gain an advantage over others.Also staff are a bit rude when phoning just to enquire about auctions, very short and to the point and can tell they just can’t wait to get off the phone.

We operate a transparent system for all our Auction Event and Timed Auction sales and work hard on behalf of our sellers to get them the best price. It is true that we do sell some lots prior to auction and some are withdrawn from the auction. We actively market all our properties and if an offer is made prior to auction that the seller is happy to accept, then we naturally cannot offer it for sale on auction day. On occasion, we do not receive the legal pack for a property, or there are other unforeseen complications, before the auction and therefore we cannot offer it for sale. If a property is withdrawn it can be entered into another auction once it’s ready to sell and if it sells in the meantime we must mark is as sold prior to auction. I’m very sorry to hear that you had a bad experience speaking to our team. They will call-to offer you the reference conveyanceing and they will charge 250£ for this reference!

Avoid at all cost! They will refuse to return your 6000£ auction reservation fee once you wont be able to buy actioned property. Management will talk to you like you are a bucket of shiz, Miss J is a bish with an attitude. I am in this process for 5months now and they are absolute pain to deal with. I have to get solicitors to deal with this now. AVOID!!!!!!Update on 15/11/2022After 10 days I got an official statement that basically said that the auction fee is non refundable (i understand that) except that there was no sale ! I have no property, no 6000£ i paid in reservation fee. I have to get litigation lawyer now to make things even more complicated ! THIS IS TERRIBLE SCAM COMPANY AVOID AT ALL COST THEY will not deal with anything, just condescending minimal communication, like talking with actually evil cyborgs. Avoid this scam. Rather be homeless. They are making money of people by collecting non refundable auction fees and offering properties that are not fit for sale LEGALLY. Then tell you oh well, we still taking the 6k ! You can talk to Ombudsman if you dont likey :)Update on 8/12/2022Lee Smith just offered me 600£ as a compensation fee which is 10times less than what they took from me for no service. Also he said if i dont like that i can go to ombudsman. I will go to police instead :)AVOID AVOID AVOID! No sale, no refunds!that’s their policy !!!!!!
