Easy to sign up and informative pack etc. Auction was great to see and watch online. The down side is the huge % that you have to pay in fees, that I do not understand where they go and what they are for. The Estate Agents whom I dealt with had not even been informed that the purchase had been completed. Plus SDL tried for reason not known, to try to take an amount of money, unsuccessfully, not approved by myself, that caused my bank to block the card.YES I WAS VERY AWARE OF THE CHARGES % FROM THE INFO PACK , from the start and going forward, just saying, the charges are extremely high and not clear what they are for. Probably the estate agents fees are inc aswell, which normally is the sellers expense.

From start to finish I was guided and advised absolutely brilliantly. I would never have been successful in buying our old village school without Andy's help; reading my emails and texts, answering quickly, making time to talk regularly and understanding the situation and that I had zero experience at buying at auction, calling me 1 week before auction to tell me to register to bid [I wasn't going to because I'd met 2 wealthy interested parties at the property viewing who could easily outbid me], calling again the day before the auction to organise a telephone call and steering me through the whole process.Can't tell you how impressed I was with him, we would never have bought without his encouragement, we think he should get a pay rise. Our whole village has been trying to save the school for 4 years and even though we don't have a penny left, we are confident our funding applications will pay off my bridging loan to turn it into a community hub, cafe and museum and Forest school one day. Most importantly the children can have back the only green space, the school field for playing footie on.Thank you so much Andy. Come and visit any time you are passing and be reassured of a free coffee and cake!

SDL Auction put constant pressure on the 15 day turn around however when I managed to turn it around and complete the legal work successfully within the given timeframe. There was no communication what so ever regarding when or how I will receive the property keys.I as well as my solicitors chased the auction who holds the key however I have still not heard anything after 24 hours.It means my plans of DIY and renovating the property have to be cancelled which I arranged weeks ago in line with the completion date. This will consequently delay any works to be done at the property for at least a week.I’m now losing money each day this is delayed. Still hoping someone contacts me. The service started of well but unfortunately when it came to wrapping it up no one seems to know what is going on and it seems like they really don’t care.Baring in mind they had a clause to serve penalties or even withdraw the sale if the delay was caused from my side.The keys should have been handed over by now, but they really don’t prioritise you once the sale has gone through.Extremely unprofessional. Watch out.

We had our property on the market with ‘Smart’ homes for approximately 6 months, and without going into too much detail, the service we received from ‘Smart’ homes, was shoddy at best, to our rescue came Neal Hume from SDL. As you could imagine house auctions can be a minefield, in particular if you have never this type of service before. Neal was our first point of contact after our initial enquiry, he did not encourage us to place an unrealistic reserve price, instead he advised us on realistic market values, but the reserve price was still made by us, but with having the correct and upto date information from Neal. Neal has stayed in touch with us through this process, and even contacted us the day before the auction, with some updates, once again easing our nerves for using this type of service. The great news is, the house was sold at the auction, for the reserve price. If I knew then, what I know now, I would have used SDL auctions much sooner, the professionalism and knowledge shown by Neal is exemplary, and we would also like to mention and thank the back office staff and in particular Suki who had a friendly and bubbly personality, once again making the whole process of auctioning our home a seamless service. Thank you , to the on the day Auctioneer, as Freddie Mercury says, “waiting for the Hammer to fall” was nerve-racking experience, but also a adrenalin-fuelled ride. I would recommend the service with SDL to anyone looking to sell their homes.
