Actually a great company! I've had some bad experiences with agencies and landlords, so it was refreshing to have an agency who actually cares and makes sure you understand everything. They were great with communication when I viewed and applied for my property and have been responsive and professional since moving in a couple of weeks ago. No complaints!

Im a plumbing and heating engineer and have been doing work for First 4 Lettings for a while now. I must say when ever there is an issue they respond immediately to any problems that occur within the properties. Also getting authorisation for repairs is very quick. so the turn around for any repairs is really quick. in my opinion they are the best lettings agents in Leicester.

Appauling - avoid!! Arranged a Saturday viewing - property unavailable but not informed even though landlady asked us to be. No out of hours contact with office/agency. If they can't arrange viewings what chance do you have of getting any issues resolved with themas an agency? No idea of how to handle complaints or the concept of a complains process. Very unprofessional. Good luck if you choose to let or rent with them. I have asked for my details to be removed from their system and under GDPR if they try to use my details for marketIng I will be sure to follow it up.

So far not a good experience. they seem confused and rude. Viewed a property and I told them the same day I would like that property. They said they’ll email me some documents the same day. 2 days later they emailed me saying they gave the property to someone else. My other friend who also was looking at the same property emailed to see if it was still available, they said it was. They emailed him over a guide on how to reserve the property. After submitting, the next day they emailed him back saying that they didn’t realise someone phoned up about the same property and wanted to reserve so he gave it to them over the phone. They are liars, confused. I wouldn’t book with them again.

I left work earlier than usual just to view their flat. I said I wanted to take the flat and clearly explained that I needed to get this done on time. I was travelling the following week and needed to move in by the time I got back . I was told I will be sent the application form etc. I waited for 2 days and didn't get any email , so I called them(on Friday) only to be told that the landlord has rented it out privately!! Like what?? They didn't think letting me know was necessary ? if I didn't call them I wouldn't have found out. Now they have messed up my plans and they didn't seem sorry about it. Terrible.

Have tried multiple student agencies in my life but none are nearly as bad as this. Advantages -When we forgot our keys, we were able to get keys off them Disadvantages Disclaimer: Our landlords were terrible additionally (refused to make basic repairs, gave the house to us in a terrible state) - They were generally unwelcoming/cold when we saw them in the office (Never cracked a smile, even when we signed for the property initially!). - Felt like we weren't worth their time to talk to whatsoever - Quite rude when they did the inspection before we left - Even though our landlord was awful, we felt very isolated when dealing with our problems with them, as they never sympathized with us nor helped us in any way. Overall, I understand that the landlords were a problem which impeded what they could do. However, the manner which they dealt with us was unacceptable and even rude on occasions. Really unhappy, will definitely not use again if I can help it.

Have used First4 as our first ever student real estate agents, and I am so glad that the majority of places aren't like them! They were generally unwelcoming and cold, very uninterested in helping tenants, and generally lacking. We have had multiple issues with our house, and often it takes a long time for anyone to even reply to us, and when we're told that someone is dealing with out case and will call us, we have consistently had to call them to chase the issue. In addition, a number of our emails have actually gone unanswered. We were considering using First4 to rent again for out next tenancy, but the agent was 15 minutes late, neglected to tell us beforehand that one of our prospective properties had become unavailable (which wouldn't have been such an issue, except they limited us to only 4 viewings per appointment, and we had a long list of other houses which we could have gone to see, if we had been informed that the original house was unavailable!). Agents are also cold and unhelpful when viewing, and sometimes conversations with them verge on rudeness. Emails are the same, unhelpful, rude, and unprofessional. There also send out multiple conflicting documents, leading to confusion for us. They seem to think that they can treat students as children, which is a mistake seeing as that's their biggest customer base! Will definitely never even consider using First4 again, and would strongly recommend that no one else does either!

Severe lack of integrity. They charge renewal fees every 6 or 12 months of £50 (update: this is now £100) instead of having rolling contracts. There's also extra "admin" fees for just emailing over a document and £50 admin fees on top of whatever they take from your deposit. Never heard of anything like it with other agencies. Notice how all good reviews on here are from landlords, not tenants. Tenants, do yourself a favour and avoid this company.

This student agency were absolutely awful! The google reviews do not do justice to how awful they were. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME. I recently had 2 viewings with them. The individual showing us around the property was, Gurpal Singh Dhillon, he knew very little about the specific costs relevant to the property, and was not able to answer any of our questions with certainty. He seemed very uninterested in the whole ordeal, which as you could imagine is of very little help to us, and it wasted a lot of our time, particularly with a busy lecture schedule. He didn't show us the around the property or discuss anything in regards to either property, he opened the door, told us to go in and stood at the front door silent. Secondly, I have never known a student agency that does not take you in their car to the second property, if you are viewing them one after the one. He made us walk from the first property to the other property (30 minutes away), and then still had the cheek to still be late, although he drove to it. Furthermore none of the properties we viewed looked anything like the pictures online. The same individual had promised me on a phone call earlier that morning that the studios were fully refurbished to an excellent standard. Surprisingly when we viewed them, the walls were covered in mould, and the studious were absolutely filthy although no residents lived their currently. He then assured us that they would be cleaned before we rented them out.. however that didn't seem very believable seeing as no-one rented the studious currently and they were in such an abysmal state. Honestly, this agency was the biggest waste of time ever. I don't normally write reviews online, but this student agency definitely is the the most unprofessional and worst one we have ever encountered (and trust me have dealt with some bad ones in the past). Funnily enough he even told us to check how positive the google reviews were.. although I doubt he will do that from now on. The only reason we have given them 1 star, is because at least the agent turned up. I hope this helps students in the future.
