Won't recommend to anybody. Filled all documents, made a holding deposit, and were ignored for 2-3 day's, in between were advised, that they will call back in 15min or send an email, yet nothing for few day's. On the day when finally managed to get through, was told property is already taken ''Landlord found someone and decided to go private'', it's been over two weeks, and they still can't refund my holding deposit and telling me they don't know when I will receive it. Wasted my time and holding my money!

Had a really positive experience with Berkleys from start to finish. Really helpful advice and guidance on the selling and buying process (we both sold and bought through Berkleys). We did not feel pressured by them at any stage. Also Alex has been extremely helpful when having to deal with delays from external agencies such as solicitors. I would thoroughly recommend Berkleys.

Very unprofessional and incompetent staff. 0 Tennant or landlord interest. AVOID at all costs Was asked to sign 70 pages in a few days, no explanation on the documents to be signed so minimum time frame for the same. Only 1 viewing possible even after confirming the let, stated a “policy” dont know who such a policy will benefit. Feels more like a side hustle then a proper professional lettings agency. Such a shame. Such companies also lower the trust of people in such organisations.

This is a mixed review. The pros is that emails were dealt with in a timely fashion, however it lacked any warmth. I was never once addressed by my name, neither was the emails signed off by any name as well. The lady who showed me around the apartment didn't even introduce herself. I had to ask for her name and introduced myself. The apartment had not been lived in a while and I asked if it would be cleaned up before I moved in and she said no, that once, the previous tenant have done a move out clean, then that was it. By the time I moved in, the fridge was full of mould and the house was covered with cobwebs. The whole process felt very automated. I think they could do with some congeniality.

Shame 0 stars is not an option! Avoid at all cost! Berkeley’s are the worst letting agents I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. They are rude and there communication is diabolical. So glad I don’t have to deal with them ever again now I have moved home. The staff at the barrow office are the worst they lie and always use the excuse of there “waiting to hear from the landlord” but after being in direct contact with my landlord it’s clear there all liars! Luckily after going through the Leicester branch I eventually got some contact and was given back my rent deposit after many months of calling Berkeley’s barrow office, don’t know why they have a phone as no one ever answers it!!

BEWARE ALL RENTAL TENANTS!! Vacated a house after 5 years, left in perfectly good order, house was sold on in the exact condition we left it. When we requested return of our deposit kept getting excuses for the delay, they then fabricated invoices for work they claimed was needed and kept our deposit! absolute scum, criminals and fraudsters. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

Very, very poor service. We had no heating for over 12 months and they failed to even contact our landlord until we had been without heating for 10 months. Very rude and unprofessional emails and calls, demanding money and failing to take responsibility for any issues or maintenance for the property.

Giving 1 star because that is the lowest I can possibly give! Nothing but trouble from day 1 with this Estate Agent, I constantly had to chase them to do their job and very rarely had a call back. Worst possible thing is, I am Conveyancer and they kept telling me how to do my job! P.S. If you are a Landlord or Tenant who uses Berkley Lettings as your managing agent, watch out that they are not illegally holding too much of your tenants deposit as they admitted in my case! Also, double check they actually have an AST in place with your tenant.
