The South Leeds Lettings team were responsive to my initial enquiries and completed the property photographs and online adverts for the property within a few days. A mixed experience

We recently purchased a house which was marketed by Manning Stainton. Our experience was mixed. The main negative was that they were incredibly difficult to get hold of, whether it was to arrange a viewing of a property, place an offer on a property, or discuss the ongoing purchase of a property. More often than not, any call to Manning Stainton required us to leave a voicemail and wait for a call back, which isn't ideal when buying, and I can imagine is far from ideal when selling. A further negative was that the pictures of the property really didn't do it justice. We didn't really bat an eyelid at the house we ended up buying until we'd looked at plenty of others that appeared far better. Most other estate agents seem to make use of professional photographers, whereas with Manning Stainton it seems most property's photographs are taken on a mobile phone and often don't do a particularly good job of showcasing the best features. The positive though (and the reason for all of the three stars awarded) is Ann, who was our point of contact once our offer was accepted. Ann did a wonderful job of keeping us updated as to progress, chasing down any enquiries we had, and managing our relationship with the seller to ensure that things progressed as smoothly as possible. If the rest of Manning Stainton's service was to Ann's standards, it would have been a far more positive review!

My Last Move Excellent Service.

I must admit at the age of 75 I don’t think I will be considering another house move. My thoughts on the process of the buying and selling of property in England has not changed over the years, in that it is an outdated, useless, antiquated costly system that is long overdue a serious overhaul. Unfortunately that may never happen. RANT OVER.I have personally found that on many occasions during the past eight months there have been a quite a number of very stressful periods relating to my move. I have in particular been very disappointed with some of the actions, (or in my case the non actions) of my solicitors during the sale process and I have put it down to experience and maybe initially a bad choice on my part.During the process one person has shone through time and again above all others with her ability to detail and having empathy for her client’s needs, and that person is Charlotte Murrie. I can honestly say that on a number of occasions I was struggling to get information from my solicitors and on each time of asking, Charlotte has taken it on herself to find the answers for me. We were kept up to date at each stage of our house sale and purchase by Charlotte without us even asking, which shows her professionalism in carrying out her responsibilities.Finally words of thanks from myself and my wife Catherine to Charlotte goes without saying and even though we had some serious thoughts about abandoning the purchase of our new property a number of times because of problems with other organisations, without Charlotte’s commitment, help and advice we would not be sitting here in our new home today.Whoever in the future is allocated Charlotte to look after their house move, they are very lucky people, (as we have been), as she is a gem and will not let them down..
