Be very careful - more honest companies out there!

Be very careful.We had an inherited property to sell which was in need of a full refurb so we were under no illusions that we would not get the value that it had been valued at for probate purposes. Initially everything felt very genuine and honest. They suggested a realistic price which we whole heartedly agreed with. The house sold very quickly and we were over the moon as we could now put a deposit down on a new family home. Then the buyer just disappeared…. We accepted this happens but now we had our offer accepted on a house time was of the essence. Within a day they had found another buyer, this time offering an additional £15k so we were amazed. This time surveys were ‘done’ and everything seemed to be moving along nicely. Then the surveys came back (which we never saw any evidence of) stating that the property had serious damp issues and subsidence so of course the supposed buyer pulled out. We already knew that these issues didn’t exist as we’d had the property looked at (and have since had further surveys done) which only came back with the minor issues. Then surprise surprise, Good Move offered to buy the property off us…. For £40k….. less than a third of its value. Looking back we don’t believe that either buyer existed. I question the reviews on here being genuine. Anyway if you are looking for a brilliant company we cannot recommend Springbok highly enough. We’ve just sold to them today for considerably more money….

Exemplary and honest service

I spoke to Ryan today. Although we are not pursuing a quick house sale through the company, he was honest and how refreshing that is in this day and age! He has real integrity, recommended the best course of action for our situation, based on our current circumstances, was thoroughly professional and helpful. Greg Gray the best person i could have dealt with. Very understanding and is a great help. Nothing was to much trouble and kept in touch with us on a regular basis.There were times when we had to cancel and returned back to him was never any problems. Max was the most honest person I have…

Max was the most honest person I have dealt with in regards to property this year. In a market where, in my view, estate agents are over valuing properties and giving sellers false hope, developing a climate where properties are sitting on the market, reducing and not selling, he had an exceptional view of the reality of the market. We all want to hear our properties worth a fortune, but when you look at one bedroom flats, which in the midlands aren't selling, a seller cant afford to sell at 2015 prices to buy at 25% + inflated 2015 prices. Until the residential property agent market becomes up to speed like Max, we are all stuck. Fantastic service, the most sensible and realistic and honest property advisor I have spoken to this year.

We completed our sale with goodmove and can honestly say they made it as simple and trouble free as possible.On our initial call Max was very knowledgable and answered all of our questions promptly and professionally, leading us to choose goodmove over the other companies we spoke to.I must admit this isn't for everyone but if you are prepared to take less than full value this is an option which takes hassle away from the sale process. House sale in Leeds

I’ve just completed a sale of a property in Leeds with Good Move. The customer service was of a high standard, with a special mention to Georgia who was so helpful throughout. The sale took a little longer than expected, due to delays with the buyers solicitor, but Georgia was great in chasing this up, keeping momentum going and keeping me informed. The solicitors assigned by Good Move were also good. I would recommend as it’s a easy, hassle free process.

The guys at Good Move were excellent in helping us find a buyer for our property when we were looking for a quick & hassle free sale. Very conscious regarding our position, and a great initial discussion setting out our options and how best to proceed with finding a quick buyer to get the best value from the property, agreeing the amount we wanted after all costs up front, so always knowing where we were in that regard.Regular updates throughout the process of finding the right buyer, and then through the legal process, for which unfortunately there were some minor delays due to no fault of Good Move, who in fact were once again excellent in their regular updates. Slightly disappointed

I had high hopes for Good Move after reading so many good reviews but unfortunately we didn't complete as promised which caused us some problems and set backs and only have been told on the day that we were meant to complete that we wiii not complete. Wasn't happy with the solicitor that was recommended either. Next time I would try a different company. The guy who brought contracts to sign was one hour late (we had to take time off work) and was very rude and couldn't even speak English. Josh was very helpful so would reccomend him! Property: Nankeville Court.

where do you start highly recommended no complaints at all

where do you start? Well I will highly recommend good move the time it took was amazing so short of a time never been known at all. The man call. Max was extremely helpful , very knowledgeable and crucially seemed to offer impartial advice , i.e what was best for me in my situation rather than waht is best for his company - the issues wit hLeasehold are complex and it helps to have someone spell out all the options even if they are not very attrractive , at least you then know where you stand !! Thank you and perhaps we wil ltalk again once situation changes somewhat . I would recommend anyone to have an intial conversation , as long as your all ears , you'll have something to mull over which may or may not suit you , its your choice at that point . No pushy sales person so taht is refreshing .
