25th August, 2021: Apart from not providing necessary maintenance in a timely fashion to the property due to a leaking roof, which led to a much more expensive fix for the property owner, when my son moved out they made no attempt to pay him back his deposit or the overpaid advanced rent. Repeated attempts to obtain the money were met with stories and blaming everyone and everything other than returning the funds with promises to fix it, escalate it etc. After 5 months of giving us the runaround we ended up having to go through the Property Ombudsman to get it resolved. Update 16th September 2021: As of today, Gascoigne Pees are offering to short pay the advanced rent and have told the Ombudsman that the deposit has been returned, which it hasn't. This company employs liars, cheats and the morally & ethically bankrupt. Don't use them either as property managers or as landlords. Update, 12th October 2021, Gascoigne Pees have still not returned the deposit and short paid (less than 50%) the advanced rent with no explanation. They have lied to the Ombudsman and are still ignoring their legal responsibilities. There is currently no resolution in site…Update: January 2nd 2022 - The Property Ombudsman is about to decide on the arbitration, but Gascoigne Pees still owe over £1,000 and don't even seem to recognize that they owe anything. Unbelievable - we'll see how this ends up now that GP has provided TPO with their "Final Position" statement, which admits failures in dealing with the situation, but still doesn't account for the missing funds.

TrustpilotDisappointing Unacceptable Service
I cannot recommend Gascoigne-Pees, Leatherhead branch, after six months I am convinced that they were the wrong choice to sell my property. I definitely did not feel valued. When I decided to end the Agency Agreement, on 28/11/2024, I was completely ignored. After two visits to the branch I managed to get an acknowledgement. However, on the second visit (19/12/2024), the Assistant Branch Manager, was completely unapologetic. In my opinion his manner was offensive, rude and unprofessional. I left the office feeling very upset and physically shaken. I have awarded them one star for the fact, that I did receive an apology from their Customer Relations Officer.

These estate agents downright lied to us before moving in about what came with the flat and throughout continued to lie about the interactions we had. Their complaints process is as useless as they are and I'm convinced is completely biased towards the estate agents. They are criminal - do not go anywhere near.

GoogleIf you want a mortgage broker then ask for Simon Murray. I’ve had the pleasure of dealing with Simon on 3 properties over the last 7 years and every time I’ve felt well informed and comfortable in what can be a complex and stressful process. Simon knows the market well, takes the time to understand your specific life circumstances, and helps guide you to a decision. After which Simon pushes the process on where needed and keeps constant communication - which puts you at ease. A genuinely nice guy I’ll keep going back to!

I had the worst experience ever using Gascogne Pees to fully manage my property. They consistently chose the more expensive contractors who did not deliver good service and failed to honor warranties. After 4 years of their management, my property was in a dire state. I ended up spending over £20,000 on repairs and restoration. The staff, from lettings to property management, were unhelpful, rude and ineffective. Never again.

Our selling was dealt with by Matthew, Karen, Janet and Litan who were all very professional, friendly and helpful. From the very beginning house valuation to the legal processes, the team at the Gascoigne-Pees has been fantastic, most helpful and informative. Excellent estate agents. Instructed Gascoigne Pees (Worcester Park branch) on both a house purchase and house sale. The team went over and beyond throughout the whole process. They were adaptable re pricing given changes in housing market and also suggested local firms of solicitors to use. Great team, professional and personable. Would use them again and again. GoogleWorking with Gascoigne pees, Leatherhead, has been a disappointment to say the least. We bought a house via them last year and were assured the seller was trustworthy and ‘honourable’. It seems they are happy to lie to our faces to get a sale. Since moving in, we have come across so many problems needing money to be pumped into the place to make it habitable (at one point there was water coming through the ceiling!). In addition, the seller has not corrected a number of things he promised to correct prior to the sale. We will not be working with gascoigne pees again and would suggest no one else should either!
Hello A&J, I am sorry that you are experiencing issues with your property purchased last year, however, such matters are outside of the remit of an Estate Agent as these concerns would usually be looked into via your instructed surveyor. During your purchase, if you did instruct the assistance of a surveyor to conduct a full structural survey of the house and believe these matters would have been known to this professional at the time, I would have to strongly advise you contact this person directly. Regarding any promised provided by the seller that certain works would be completed prior to completion, this would be a matter to raise with your solicitor, as if known to them they would have a duty to confirm with the seller's solicitors that such works had been completed prior to exchange and completion. Worst organised letting company. I have several properties that I use letting agents to manage. By far, Gascoigne-Pees are the worst. They charge for everything despite me paying for full managed property they make additional charges for anything they do. They consistently fail to do anything that they say they will do. Their different departments don't communicate with each other. They give letting/estate agents a bad name.

GoogleHaving had high hopes and expectations from the really positive valuation meeting, we were quickly disappointed. We were held to an 8 week contract and, dispite being extremely flexible in our price expectations, viewings were few and far between. One of the negotiators essentially told us they were waiting for people to see our property online. Given their rates were the highest out of the agencies, we expected them to do more work than posting on Rightmove and Zoopla etc to collect their commission. To make matters worse, when looking to buy, I had to call multiple times in 1 day to arrange viewings of similar houses having seen them online - the team did not seem to think to recommend the others which could have been suitable, I had to find them myself online.
