I rented a property from 2023-2025 that they did the rent collection for, so they only interactions I had was for the contract start and end and even just that was a nightmare. Me and the previous tenant filled out all the forms a month in advance and 2 days before I was moving in I called they and found out they hadn't set up anything. To their credit they got it all sorted in 2 days (only because they would loose money if they didn't. Since then they never provided me with a signed copy of my agreement, I have still never seen it but somehow in the mean time they sent me the contact for a house 2 down the road with other peoples names on that had sensitive info on. They also sent me a deposit certificate for a house in a different town for a tenancy from 2012 , also with those tenants full names on and they sent me the contact for the previous tenants with their signatures and names on. If I needed them to do anything I would have to include the managers and heads of the company before I would get a response (that's a good tip BTW if you rent with these guys and you need something urgent, find the higher ups emails and include them all to ensure a response). At the end of the tenancy they were unhelpful in returning the deposit, they guy I spoke to was fast to reply but nothing ever came of it.

GoogleRecently moved into one of their properties, we had signed all contracts, paid deposit and first month's rent, submitted ID docs and booked key collection. Just as we thought all was going well, 3 days ahead of our key collection date we all get an email stating we must resubmit all ID documents to an online verification site. This got sent out to all tenants and garuentors alike and after co tacting tara and co we were told everyone involved must resubmit ID docs with a selfie on this platform or else we would not receive keys. I appreciate this is due to UK law and not directly their fault, however communication regarding this was appalling. Ended up being a last minute stressful situation to get all 10 persons to resubmit ID in this less than 3 day window whilst being unsure if we'd end up homeless. Despite an otherwise ok interaction this really ruined the experience and added unnecessary stress.

GoogleTara&Co has been the most unhelpful, absolutely useless and incompetent agency that I had the misfortune of having to deal with. Beds, closets, couches were broken prior to moving in and it took us practically harassing them to finally get them to replace them. The beds and closets were replaced after a month (some living out of a suitcase or sleeping in another house) but the couches have been missing for over a month now and no sign of it. Our dishwasher did not work for the first 3 months of us being here and we’ve had numerous issues with our fridge and freezer. Some of the heaters just do not work and there was absolutely no attempt at repairing them (an external heater had to be brought by the tenant). Other issues like broken door locks, missing bathroom shelves, exposed extractor fan, etc took over a month to repair. There is even leaking at certain rooms. We have practically no access to outdoor bins and have to pile up our trash every two weeks before bin day. Overall, everything that could go wrong, went wrong with the house. And it took weeks, months or even no attempt at all to fix the issues. Do not trust them.

GoogleIn our hunt for a student house as 6 people with lots of different preferences and opinions - Sophie was brilliant at taking us round multiple houses and ensuring all our questions were answered throughout the process. In the viewings, she gave us incredible information as well as a balanced view of the property, meaning we were able to establish our own opinions much quicker. Can’t recommend enough - thank you Sophie!

GoogleThroughout the past month I had been looking at multiple houses with different groups of people, often time changing what the plan was on how many people we'd be living with. Tom was amazing and helped sort through these changes as well as be transparent on how much time we had to make a decision without rushing us. He was super responsive and arranged for viewings in a week's time.

GoogleGreat service. Staff were very helpful, especially Tom Middleton, who answered all the questions we had promptly, and showed us around different properties. Even helping us with making sure we were able to get the property we liked. Would highly recommend.

Tara and Co will issue you invalid section 21 notices they will act in Retaliation to you if you have any issues within they properties they will lie in a court of law and the courts and town council are all in it to except their lies I have all the evidence and the Court Transcripts my advice to anyone looking to rent property students should NOT rent from them avoid Tara and Co for more info please get in touch
