Positive experience from start to finish

I had the pleasure of dealing with Russell and the team at Peter Clarke for the purchase of my new home January - June 2021. At the beginning of my journey I felt Russell looked after me brilliantly. All of my viewings were all arranged quickly and with issues arising when it came to the actual legal work of the sale (between all parties). My solicitors also commented everything had been done very well throughout. Russell maintained regular communication with me every step of the way. The whole process can be a little daunting when you're a first time buyer but the whole team have been absolutely fantastic every step of the way, especially Renee. It was assumed my house would be easy to sell but that was not the case. I always had an enthusiastic response from the team when I called to find out why it wasn't selling. If Barney was not available there was always someone else who knew the history of the sale which I found reassuring. There was nothing that was too much trouble over the time it took to sell the house. I remember feeling calm and happy during that episode of moving.

Unwilling and ridiculous.

Unwilling to carry out a viewing ‘in the current circumstances’ unless a prospective buyer is already sold. If every agent did this then no one could possibly sell and the market would stagnate. Their response. “We’ve never been so busy”. The current situation is not likely to change in the next six months. Covid is here to stay and the good estate agents are working with their clients to minimise the risks, carry out safe viewings at no risk to the vendor and earning their % rather than sitting in the office and rubbing their hands together. Speaks volumes. Vendors beware you won’t get many viewings!!

If you would like to rent out a…

If you would like to rent out a property to a squat or a drug den... then these are the agents for you! Doesn’t matter how much you complain... call the police... they literally don’t care. Money is all they think about. Not surrounding businesses, neighbours... as long as they get their commission the property is yours. Not forgetting in the middle of the global pandemic, they gave permission to gardeners to enter though the front of my property and climb over my wall. As a shielded person myself, quite frankly I’m shocked they would recommend people to enter my property without consent, without thought, without care. Clearly this company conduct their business following no government guidelines. And have unscrupulous morals.

Peter Clarke’s Shipston on Stour office marketed my property and Peter Clarke in Stratford Upon Avon were dealing with the property we wanted to purchase. Disastrous and incompetent

So I didn't even have Peter Clarke as my estate agent but had to deal with them as my vendor's solicitor. One agent in particular who I shall not name as I shall be raising a complaint against him personally.Utterly appalling lack of professionalism, incompetence and negligence that has left me financially at a loss. In short I asked to be allowed into my prospective property early to do some cleaning as the place was filthy. Request made a month in advance and then several times later. Request ignored until exchange done and then totally messed up as he thought I wanted a contractor to come in even though I stated i was doing it personally. Access to the property denied, lost a day of holiday, loss of cleaning equipment hire, entered my new property to filthy carpets and house.The worse was still to come. Agent communicated incorrect service charge to me by half! I gave incorrect figured to the bank for my mortgage and day before completion my solicitor won't allow completion until bank ratifies new expense. Another day off work to sort and I get to pay double the amount a year in service fees.On the day of the move the agent in questions leaves the office so he doesn't have to hand the keys to me. Coward. Appalling behaviour. Complaint to follow.

I am entering a third year of letting my property out with Peter Clarke & Co and I will continue to do so as the quality of the service they provide is excellent. I chose the fully managed service and the lovely Emma Zyko looks after all the nitty gritty bits and pieces to do with the tenants, or if anything goes wrong with the property, and she handles everything with such a professional and emphatic approach; nothing is too much trouble and it alleviates any stress that I might incur should I be letting it out on my own. Emma has been an absolute star, and the rest of the team are also brilliant at what they do. I would not hesitate to recommend them from a landlords perspective.
