Dear Raphael & Emma, Houseman Homes I’ve known you both for several years and we’ve worked together on many occasions which I thank you for. In this time, you’ve sold mums house and this time round a house on behalf of my mother-in-law. 2020 was a challenge for many and during lockdown we had to move Lauren’s nan into full time care. It was a real tough time for all. We put Daphne’s house on the market to afford the full-time care and she unfortunately passed away. 93 years old and I’m pretty sure she wanted to kick my arse. You guys were absolutely first class. From advising us all on not taking certain offers, advising buyers on future planning permission to avoid time wasters, and handling the family during their loss. All of this as well as keeping the buyers informed throughout the probate. Thank you both for this above and beyond service. For taking care of the family home in a professional and personal way, achieving a fantastic price and looking after everyone. You guys were immense. Thank you! All the best Andrew Black

I rented a flat with Newman last year... I think it is the most unprofessional service I have ever had with any business. Nothing was right: unresponsive for the length of the tenancy, flat wasn't professionally cleaned before we moved in, as promised, and they tried to get a large part of the deposit at the end (disputed and they didn't get it). I don't understand how they can operate with their very poor and disorganised ways of working.

Trying to book a viewing is near on impossible sent over 5 messages via several different platforms, i then called and the automated systems has about 5 different options, once I finally spoke to a human who couldn't have been any less enthusiastic said that the property has now been let despite i still being advertised as available. I was a tenant with Newman for 2 years and had no issues with them. The property was well looked after when we did the viewing and clean to an acceptabled level, similar to when we moved in (I don't believe a professional cleaning was carried out, but still ok). The agency was quick on talking to the landlord about our request to remove some furniture from the house and sorting out the contract. They've always forward my maintenance requests to the landlord and replied to "most" of my emails. The email response has improved recently since they've created a dedicated email for maintenance requests. Also any inspection or contractor's visits were communicated by email early enough so I could plan to be at the property on those days. I didn't have any issues with agents or with the return of my deposit (the house was returned in a really good condition similar to when we moved in ofc). The only reason for a 4 star review is one maintenance request we had on the radiator (not major since it was summer) took a really long time to get fixed. The landlord has requested it to be checked by his plumber in aditional to Newman's plumber, which has cause some delay and confusion. I believe that at the end Newman's contractor had an approved order to fix it, but was postponing it since it was summer and nobody followed up with him (me or Newman). Thanks you to all agents from Newman :)

Julie and Poppy are a god send. Honestly from start to finish I found them to be polite, professional and above all else they were approachable. When calling or dropping by the office, nothing ever seemed to be too much trouble. When requesting anything in relation to repairs, our land lord was responsive and Newmans sought to get the issues resolved as soon as they possibly could. I can only assume that other negative reviewers have maybe been met with the same respect and level of customer service as they are presenting. Always worth treating others how you would like to be spoken and treated yourself as my experiences with Newmans are a far cry from the negative reviews left below. I will be back with you again in the new year. :)

Absar replied with some information but could not be flexible in viewings at all despite knowing it's a 200+ mile roundtrip for us. No weekend viewings. No virtual viewings.
