Professionalism, kindness and friendliness

If it wasn't for Amanda and Jeremy at the Headcorn office of Simon Miller, I really think I would have gone insane, coping with an extremely protracted house sale over five months. Their combination of professionalism, kindness and friendliness was constant and unwavering. The service I received, made me feel as though they were my agents even though I was purchasing through them. I was always able to get either on the phone - never ringing more than three times before being answered. Amanda and Jeremy, thank you from the bottom of my heart. If we ever need to sell, I know straight where to come.

We were the buyers buying from a Simon Miller client and have to say if we were to sell we would choose them and ask for Lucy White. She was superb and managed the process from start to finish with a proactiveness that is refreshing for the industry. She knew what was happening and chased the whole chain ensuring all parties weren't lagging behind. A credit to Simon Miller. If you want a professional estate agent service DO NOT use this company. Selling my mother's house to fund her nursing care has been an abdominal experience. They twice took my keys from a key safe to enable viewings and went off with them. Luckily the first time my neighbour had a key that I could use to let myself in. Second time I was in Scotland and one of my team could not collect some information from my house which meant my company had to cancel a job worth £1700. Even after they knew this on Friday when I got home Sunday the keys still had not returned. Eventually my partner had to drive from Canterbury with her spare key. The most galling thing about all this is that they have not once offered any sort of apology. Now the house has an offer I am under no doubt they will be after their fees before the ink is dry on the sale contract. Had my brother not signed a contract with them I would have dumped them at the first key episode. Avoid at all costs- buy yourself a sandwich board and walk up and down outside your house if you want to sell it. Just as effective as this shower and undoubtedly more effective.

We have recently bought a house through Simon Miller & Company in Headcorn. I have to say that we wouldn't even have looked at the property if it hadn't been for the agent recommending it. As soon as we saw it we fell in love with it as it ticked all our boxes. Throughout the entire process Amanda Gates at Simon Miller has been on hand to answer questions and communicate our requests and concerns to the sellers. The process of buying this property was easy and stress free largely due to her professionalism and helpfulness. She was always available to assist us and provided answers very quickly. I would certainly recommend Simon Miller & Company, particularly the Headcorn Branch.

A fantastic estate agent in the heart of Headcorn. The team are extremely welcoming & go above & beyond to assist. My mother just purchased a property in Headcorn which I dealt with on her behalf. I would like to highly recommend Simon Miller Maidstone office. They have so far been exemplary in the handling of the sale of our property. Everyone is professional and helpful. Nice staff, but found you get fobbed off when asking difficult questions about potential problems with a property. At one point it nearly became an argument (with the boss) and i understand the seller was being awkward. Quite rude really as once moved in my complaint was validated.

We have been really disappointed with the service

We have been really disappointed with the service received by this estate agent. When initially asked what was important to us we said two things, honesty and communication. We lacked feedback on our viewings (both if they happened at all and any helpful information as to why a buyer may / may not be interested in the property), there were continued promises of communication which was not followed up and just generally a really poor service leaving us feeling that we were not a valued client even thought we went out of our way to accommodate all viewings and have the property 'viewing ready' at all times. Finally, at the end of the agreement I have had no communication to 'sign off' our arrangement, of keys returned to me, to ask if there is anything they could do etc. I work in customer service and know how people should be treated. I will certainly not be recommending this estate agent to anyone and would err anyone away from using them unless they make significant changes.

Review from my grandparents:Highly recommended! Having found our dream bungalow in my daughter's road we were extremely anxious as we didn't want to lose out. The race was on to get ours sold. We called two agents and went joint agency. Alex from Simon Miller understood our situation and came out to us the same day to get us on the market. Within 48 hours Alex had arranged 9 viewings (against the other agent's 1...) and within 3 days Alex had agreed a sale to a cash buyer £25,000 over the asking price and less than a month later thanks to the agents pushing, we are now about to exchange contracts. From my first meeting with Stewart Carroll, branch manager, I was made to feel that my sale was important. It felt personal, not the usual salesman's patter. They were able to pull in large numbers of genuine buyers for the Open Days and the house sold in 6 days.
