Ana Sampaio from the Vauxhall and Oval Office helped me tremendously in my search for a rental property. I am so grateful for Ana’s support and her continued efforts in going above and beyond to support our search. On a couple of occasions Ana even put on hold some of her other work to visit properties right away to get video tours / floorplans / FaceTime us so that we could see the property immediately. For this we are so grateful as we were not always able to view properties in person. Not only did Ana provide the best letting agent experience that I have had during my property search, she was always honest in her assessment of properties and so polite - I think this is testament to how professional she is and her clear desire to help customers (like myself) obtain the best property for their needs. Incompetence and lies on a legendary scale!

I had my property up for sale with Foxtons, an offer collapsed, and so I decided to consider rental. After I spoke to the rental department, they took a renter into my property without my permission, hadn't even signed a contract. Luckily, the person liked it and offered a good rent. The agent lied to the renter and me, messed up three contracts, so by the time he signed the fourth contract on my behalf, the renter had been in my flat for 10 days. Lucky he signed! He told me that I could not protect the deposit...lie. He told me that the second 6-month rent payment would be paid on the fourth month...lie. And it was not paid in advance on the 5th month like every other agent; the tenant is now late with the second 6-month payment. I complained to the manager, but he ignored my complaints. The whole office is corrupt. Really, do yourself a favour, there are good letting agents out there, Foxtons is not one of them.

I am just at the beginning of my house search but have already had my fair share of unhelpful estate agents. That is why working with Beatrix has been an absolute game changer! She is tenacious and on top of things, you will never have to chase her. She will spend the time to understand your requirements so that she can present you with the best options to fit your needs. She is very well organised and professional. You need an estate agent like this not just to find your next home but to also have as smooth of an exchange process as possible!

New X Foxtons is appalling

New Cross Gate letting office is appalling. I had a misfortune to invite them a few years back for valuation and then when changed my mind, asked them to delete me from their database as wasn't planning to do anything with my house. And guess what every year I am receiving unsolicited calls inquiring about valuation, letting, selling. They promise to delete my number every time they call once every half a year in average, pathetic.

Priorities are wrong

Foxtons can't seem to answer simple enquiries about a property - for example "how long is the leasehold" or "what are the service charges". Instead their focus is on gaining as much information about the person inquiring as possible. Ie they have more interest in adding to a dataset of potential buyers and marketing themselves than in answering a simple enquiry. I certainly wouldn't sell with them given how they prioritise themselves over the sellers interests..... of course all this is in the guise of "customer service" but it's not really is it? It's blatant marketing and self promotion.

nightmare agents

nightmare agents. do yourself a favour and use a different one. these are the guys who give estates agents their bad name. its been almost 2 months since i completed and they still havent given me the full set of keys or removed furniture as promised. i dealt with jordan at the temple fortune branch and every day he has a new excuse. they dont respond to messages or phone calls and provide a truly awful service. there are plenty of other good agents around who provide a much better service.

They take the money & abandon…

They take the money and then abandon their landlords. Do not rent a property with these agents as there is no customer support or response. I have had a couple of issues and queries - I have had to ring several times with long wait times and email multiple times for a response, still waiting three weeks later. They never reply or respond costing me hours of wasted time and stress.

We dealt with Oram Ohene-Djen, our letting negotiator, who from the very beginning was unhelpful, dismissive, and often gaslighting us whenever we raised concerns. My review only refers to Nikita Harper from Foxtons Letting Support Department, who called me today to help me resolve several issues with my logging in to my Foxtons Account. She was helpful, courteous, and followed up on our conversations. I have nothing good to say about the rest of the Foxtons team, including people at the Head Office, who were not only unhelpful, but kept on transferring my call to other people in the Foxton organisation, who were of course not at their seats, but "please leave a message and I will get back to you". I wasted well over an hour of my time today on the phone trying to get Foxtons support to resolve a problem they have created.
