Darren was more than amazing thoughtout our buying process. We are first time buyers and at times, we felt very vunerable as wasnt sure on processes. I went to Darren with lots of questions and he was always so happy to help. Whenever Darren had an update he would communite with me and whenever I had a question that he didn’t know the answer to he would direct me, I will definitely be using Mather Marshall Knebworth again just because Darren was so thorough throughout the process from beginning to end. Darren Gilbert from Mather Marshalls Estate Agents based in Knebworth, Hertfordshire has been absolutely fantastic in selling our home. In order for our offer to be accepted on our purchase we were given seven days to sell our home and it wasn't even on the market! I called our local Independent Estate Agents (Mather Marshalls) immediately and spoke to Mr Darren Gilbert to explain the urgent situation, Darren came to our property within a couple of hours to survey and take photographs for marketing. My wife Victoria and I were extremely impressed with his attitude, in-depth knowledge and plethora of experience within the industry. Darren called a few hours later to say he had just emailed us a first draught to check all of the information was correct and we were happy (which it was and we were!) and then had our property advertised the same day on multiple platforms. Darren called the following day to say he had several viewings arranged over the next few days, he then proceeded to sell our home on day 6 and above our asking price! The expected moving dates was around 3 months from acceptance, Darren kept us fully informed all along the way of the sale and also our purchase, nudging a few solicitors to hurry up too! Darren didn't just sell our home he fully managed the sale and purchase, checking up and making sure all parties concerned were organised! Mather Marshalls of Knebworth really do care, they are not a big faceless estate agents ready to rip you off for a sub standard service., we received a personal, first class service at a very reasonable price. Darren, we cannot thank you enough or recommend you highly enough, you are a credit to the industry and the Local community in which you support so well. Thank you again!

Well, I've gotta tell you that Mather Marshall made the whole process about as stress free as it could be..Over a period of about 7 months we had 2 offers accepted on 2 properties, and although the agents dealing with both sales talked the talk, neither walked the walk. They were both keen to confirm that we were cash buyers and our bona fides were up to scratch, but not so energetic in easing the vendors' along with their bits and pieces. Consequently, we got nowhere with either property.And then I heard the sound of horse's hooves, and Darren Gilbert of Mather Marshall galloped over the horizon, heading in our direction. I thought it strange that he was dressed in shining Armour, but who am I to judge?He did his estate agent's thing without being too pushy, confirming that we were legit and easing the vendor along with a smile and a gentle nudge. He kept us informed at every stage and we completed in about 6 weeks from first viewing to taking charge of the keys.Darren is a breath of fresh air...and the house isn't bad, either.I would recommend Darren and Mather Marshall without a second's hesitation, in fact, I've already suggested that my daughter, who wants to move out this way, makes good use of Darren's expertise. Darren guided us through the sale process and obtained an excellent price for us within days of putting the house on the market. He always acted in our best interests. When our chain slowed right down, he was always there for us, contacting various solicitors and even driving 2 hours to collect and deliver documents to expedite our sale. Very friendly when property first put on the market, they found a buyer who was unable to proceed as had not sold and as they were selling through one of their other branches we felt pur property wasnt being pushed as much as it should have been, was like being reserved, very quiet, no real updates, then when we gave notice to list with another agent, there was interest again. We were told our buyer was a cash buyer, which it turned out not to be. Once a price was agreed it wasnt long before we were being chased to move out of our house even though our buyer wasnt ready, but kept getting told they were by the agent. No communication between exchange until completion day, and as first time sellers we didnt really know what to expect. Also the solicitor recommendation was awful.

With regards to the cash buyer changing her mind this was completely out of our hands yet managed the change to ensure we kept your buyer on board. I did feel the updates between agreed sale and exchange were fine but we will look into making sure updates are more regular. The solicitors used have now been removed from our panel of experts we recommend to ensure we also work with top professionals to make the sale and buying process as simple as possible.
