6 star review Seymours Knaphill are simply the most professional agents I've had experience with, in what has been a long search as a buyer. I have been looking in the West End area for a year, so I've had a lot of contact, especially with Ian and Simon but also the whole team. They have at all times gone above and beyond to help, guide and support. The communication has been second to none, they were professional at all times (even when they may have been tired of a picky buyer), friendly, approachable and they're excellent negotiators. In short, they were faultless which is not something I'd say about many estate agents. I would recommend them in a flash to any buyer or vendor.

Rude, poor attitude and will not recommend

I purchased a house via Seymours estate agents, Camberley a few months ago, I was also selling a property with SJSMITH,Ashford. I was Initially dealing with the sale with Adam, I was also dealing with Harley who stated items were included in the sale of the day of my viewing hence my offer then went on to say they were not included once the sale was agreed. I then went onto dealing with Jordan who is the most rude and bad mannered sales agent I have ever met. There was an issue with my buyer and there solicitors and I kept constantly getting calls and emails from Jordan threatening that the sellers would be withdrawing the sale unless I got things moving quickly which were out of my control. Jordan was rude on the phone, had no idea about anything inside the property when I took my family for the second viewing. I informed Seymours that I would be on holiday and to liaise with my solicitor but the emails did not stop from Jordan about threatening the loss of my sale. I completely understand that once a sale is agreed the sellers which for things to happen as quickly as possible but unfortunately buyers sometimes take there time with us no fault of the middle person. On the day I went to collect my keys neither agent in Seymours spoke to me, they just handed me the key and carried on talking amongst themselves. A complaint has gone into there head office also.

2 weeks and counting too get the deposit back staff went on holiday so wasn't chased up lack of communication and lack of management avoid if possible if they struggle to chase up the deductions on a deposit after two weeks can you imagine buying a property and then relying on them emailing solicitors ?

Friendly and helpful people

Recently moved in to a property marketed by Seymours. It was very friendly and professional experience with them. Sahil with whom I arranged appointment, Helen who facilitated viewing and all other staff I interacted with Staines was very friendly, energetic and with a will to help. I would recommend them for sure. One small improvement they can make is with respect to the reference and move in platform - Blinc they are using. Though addressing most of the aspects of move-in and convenient, It would be really great to talk to someone in case of any clarification with respect to references etc. Platform for providing reference documents have lot of gaps with possibility of getting pre-matured decisions before giving all the documents.

Natalie engaged with me in October this 2021 regarding my property purchase. From the outset her professional manner, and commitment to supporting me was obvious from the start. Never again.

We were recently searching for a proeprty to let as our current is up for sale. Having had enquired about a property I was contacted by Seymours and told it was no longer available but given an option in the same area that was currently on market. I knew this property and advised it was out of budget + it had been on the market for 2+ months. The representative advised that as it had been on market for a while the landlord would be willing to drop the rent amount, so we decided to go and view it. We were shown the property by James and spoke about how the asking price was too much - he had advised that he was pretty sure the landlord would accept what we were offering within our budget. Completed the offer form, called back by Sam advised that the landlord refused (which was fine as we expected this would happen), but came back with a counter offer. Sam then continued to explain that the landlord didn't really care if the property remained on market throughout March as he was in no rush to rent the property/did not need the funds. We ended up agreeing to the asking price of the landlord - all accepted, paid all the amounts asked/passed referencing, given a move in date chosen by Seymours (which worked) and signed contracts. 2 days later contacted by Sam to advise that the landlord had the listing with a different estate agents and decided to rent to other individuals as they could move in that weekend.

Jeff and Simon supported us through a long drawn out sale process hampered by loosing buyers due to Covid and loosing purchase properties in the process, then finally buying a probate property again impacted by COVID timelines. They were always professional, understanding and had a level of patience I am sure our chain tested at times! Buying and selling homes is an emotional process and the team are sensitive and appreciate this, even dealing with tears. They always followed the new protocols for viewings due to COVID and were supportive and understanding of any restrictions we put in place due to having a newborn. In the sale of my home, Mark, Clive and Ian all made the process painless, during the pandemic uncertainty and, a difficult time for me personally. They were personable, knowledgeable, and available! Not at all like typical agents just after the "sale"! House went on the market with them in Oct last year and by Nov had a "great" buyer - amazing! Clive (and my Conveyancers I might add) were instrumental in helping to close the deal at a good price. Especially after another agent had failed to even get me quality viewings!
