Once our offer was accepted, Geraldine looked after our purchase. She was fabulous and looked after us every step of the way. She gave us advice and took the lead in chasing and pushing deadlines when she needed to.Can't thank you enough Geraldine for making our house purchase so stress free and smooth.Also a thank you to Zoe (at the Ashton branch) who looked after us initially, dealin with our offer negotiations and gave us our keys on our moving in day.Great service all round.

We recently sold a property using Martin Thornton. I must say that he and all his staff were absolutely brilliant. Professional, knowledgeable, friendly and determined. Baillie was our appointed agent, and he was outstanding. The company really know how to market a property, and how to get you a really good price. This is the second property we have sold using them, and i would thoroughly recommend them to everyone. In my experience they are the best around by far. 👍👍👍

Friendly service that goes above and beyond

I sold my house recently through Ryder Dutton after the excellent service I'd previously had from them as a purchaser, I was not disappointed. From the first approach until the day of completion they were great, friendly, efficient & knowledgable. Fiona amd Freya were brilliant at helping me consider offers & in negotiating and I sold at a price I was happy with.The chain to complete was long and therefore complicated, Fiona went above and beyond to keep things moving and to ensure the completion date happened (despite some lack lustre solicitors for various parties). Highly recommend!

Wonderful team to work with

Wonderful team to work with. 16 viewings booked in a day and the house sold within a week at the asking price. We did the viewings ourselves over the weekend.Leanne came out initially and got the spec for the particulars and price right, the photos they took were really good and Martha was so efficient in taking the bookings, supported by the team calling me every 30 minutes. What's more, R&D were also acting for all those making an offer on our house so knew where they were in the process of selling their house.

Best to Avoid this Estate Agency..

I was served section 21 notice just just after 6 months of renting the property, they claimed the owner wanted to sell and I offered to buy. They then came back to me that the Landlord is no more interested in selling and a family member was moving in. I eventually moved out. Alas, time to pay my deposit came, the agency and the landlord came up with various excuses to avoid paying back my deposit. By the way I am a very compliant tenant, paid on time, even emailed to ask them what my balance is before I moved out and paid every penny. I did not trash the property and the property was handed back the way we met it. I have a decent amount to purchase a property, emailed 2 of their sales team members already but will never even go near them as I am so disappointed in them right now.I am so so disappointed that they are trying to avoid to pay back my deposit with all tricks in the book. This is my money and I want it back fully.

Simply the best and I wouldn't go anywhere else. Alice Rimmer and the staff at the Ashton branch are great to deal with, professional and totally on the ball. They sold mother's property within days of listing and then their Move Manager, Geraldine Marsden took over to very ably shepherd the sale to completion. That is such a valuable role because it saved me the hassle and worry of chasing people up.

I worked with Tom Prince throughout the sale of my property. He was incredibly patient, friendly and couldn't do enough to help. Jessica williamson made my whole experience of selling and buying a fantastic one, she was always on the other end of the phone, answered any questions we had about anything, nothing was ever too much trouble. Thank you Jessica 😘 The Solicitors on the other hand where hard to reach, I felt they never really engaged with us, when you have never done this before, you look for a guiding hand with knowledge of whats happening and someone you can rely on, we don't feel this was what we got, unfortunately more often than not we felt ignored. Yes the portal was there, but never updated, it was a more of a toolfor Blackburn Birchall to ensure they ticked boxes. Sorry that was our experience.

Positive points: Branch Manager was very helpful during initial process, and guided me very well and house went up on sale fairly easily and quickly. The drawing of contract was easy.Negative points: Once house was sold, Lack of communication, I wasn’t kept up to date, I had to do lots of chasing around and even with that I would get redundant answers. Any information I was seeking from seller where agent has to act as a bridge, it was almost impossible asking them for help. Staff not very helpful. Based on this I think they are overpriced for services they give. Will I recommend R&D? No!

Nichola and the team in the Slaithwaite branch made the sale of my mother-in-laws house both seemless and efficient. They constantly chased the buyers/solicitors and myself when needed and pro-actively moved things to a final completion. The sale wasn't as straight forward as it might have been but this was due to power of attorney and third parties involved but having Nichola and the team on my side gave me a greater understanding of what was needed and helped greatly. Appalling service!

Appalling service!This company should be shut down.Booked a viewing nearly 3 weeks ago was told the 2nd March was the earliest they could do. No available staff which I questioned on two further phone calls.Been told today the property is sold even though I had been told only a week ago no other viewings have taken place or are booked we will be next to view.To then be told someone viewed 4 days after we enquired.To then check and see the property was updated as sold on right move days ago, so another lie told today about when the offer was made.Third time this has happened across other ryder and dutton offices with other viewings over the past 2 yrs Blatantly they are deciding who can and can not buy the houses they list. Please if you are a seller use any other company I will refuse now to ever view a property with this company and will be reporting them there conduct is not legal or professional
