Extremely disappointing experience with Humphrey and Brand. I wish I had red Peter Doyle’s review before. I had exactly the same experience. They only look after the landlord, they don’t care about the tenant. We had leaks that were not fixed, please see the attached picture. One of them since the day we checked in!! With regards to the “independent” person that does the check in and check out, she has very different standards for the landlord and the tenants. The toilets and kitchen were not cleaned when we moved in but expected everything immaculate when we checked out. If you are a tenant look for someone else, they just want to please the landlord at your expense. Happy to provide more pictures.

From the word go, the staff at Humphrey and Brand could not do any more for us then they did. Ryan, Reece and Andie have been a delight to deal with, as to Ted who helped out along the way. Ryan even gave up a morning on a bank holiday Monday in late May in order to have the buyers survey done so it would not prolong the selling process, top work!! Humphrey and Brand have been facilitating with our house sale, great communication, professional, supported and really impressed with the quality of the photography and videography of our home. They have been really supportive through all the steps as this is our first house sale was all a bit foreign to us, but they are always on hand for the many questions we had. A major plus for us was having our viewings in a open day format, having a small toddler at home can be a nightmare to have your house clean and tidy all the time ready for multiple viewings on different days at different times, we actually only had to have our house viewing ready for a couple of days! The amount of clients we had on our open days were really impressive. We had our open days on the Friday and Saturday and we had a offer accepted on the Monday!

This is a well over due review of the best estate agent in the Surbiton, Kingston area. Ive had dealing with these guys for about 10 year with both lettings and selling and i must say they are the best on the area. Its run by 2 lovely women which i believe really lowers the ego of the place. More importantly tho i think they really do it for the right reasons and care for what they do which shows. I firstly rented my place down King Charles road and the whole process was totally stress free and as we were out of the country we left it all to them to look after. Not only was the rate they took very reasonable when there were the occasionally problems they dealt with it in a very cheap way as they have loads of good services companies on call that tay always use so get a good price and one of that extortionate call out fee lark that you hear form some companies. It was also a breeze finding tenants as i believe they have great database of trusted people looking in the area. We then sold our place years later with them and it went in under 24 hours. They were more than helpful and fair with the negotiations of the people looking to buy the place. It was, of course, a lovely house tho right! During the sales process i got more information from sales head Laura about the property we were buying than the agents that we were buying through, sometimes a day before which they had no obligation to do. They also had a very fair % scheme for their fee. I dont know id they still do but i do hope so. i have of course over the years recommended to people i know in the area and all have also had a very smooth dealing. ALSO, their window art for special occasions is totally top notch and that should be enough to go with them!! Top work guys, hope to deal with you again soon, although i hope we're not moving again for a while! Henry and Liz.

My experience with Humphrey and Brand has been excellent! Given how stressful it can be both finding and securing a place, they did a great job in making renting so much easier to get through. Particularly the help from Yariela who guided me through the whole process. Her communication was prompt and clear throughout. Any time I have had a query or needed to confirm something, Yariela took the time to help at each stage and was incredibly professional and polite, which is greatly appreciated! Would definitely recommend them if looking for a property in the area.

Having previously worked for an estate agent myself, I have never had a very high opinion them as a whole, because the ones I worked with were very pushy and thought more about their commission than they did about the clients. However I cannot fault the way H&B have handled an extremely difficult purchase for one of my international clients. Due to issues with the vendor's solicitor and lack of building control consent on the house itself, it has taken 4 months to reach the point of exchange. But Andie in particular has been amazing. She has been helpful, proactive and understanding in a very stressful situation. H&B have been so great that I am already in the process of buying another property through them, for a different client. And Ryan and Ted in the sales team have been excellent too. I never thought I would say this, but they give Estate Agents a good name!

Humphrey and Brand took on my property sale after another agency had failed to sell the property. I was very pleased to be dealing with the same individual agent every time I spoke to the office, and to be kept regularly informed of progress. It was easy and quick to communicate with them and though the price we ultimately achieved was less than it had been hoped the property would sell for, I was comfortable with what was agreed, and I did feel that the agent continued to work for me right up until completion, unlike previous experiences I have had where as soon as an offer was made it felt as though the agents switched to working for the buyer. I'd recommend them based on this process - thank you Humphrey and Brand!
