Terrible. They'll be super nice and helpful when you're first signing a contract with them, but for any issues after that, they're so useless and annoying to deal with. My roommate and I were told we could do a tenancy swap later on if one of us were to leave (made to sound like a simple process) and when I went to do this, it was such a nightmare. I had to call basically every day for an update on the process, put on hold for ages each time. If I didn't nag them, I don't think they ever would have completed the process. We were told it would take 4 weeks, it's been about 2 months and still not finalized. The new tenant has already moved in because it's been so long. I literally just called to find out why our contract hasn't been confirmed yet, despite all parties signing it about 2 weeks ago, and I got put on hold multiple times told I was being transferred to the tenancy department only to never reach anyone from this department..... Honestly avoid Foxtons if you can and don't let their initial kindness fool you. They're only helpful when they have something to gain from it. Once you've signed the lease, you're on your own and they don't care. Also side note why do they have a breakup song as their hold song??? I'm going mad

I was looking for a 1-bed flat in Surbiton and Adam Ribeiro was an absolute star in helping me with this. He was friendly yet always professional, Adam showed me some great properties which gave me a lot of food for thought. When I found the right property Adam was very quick in getting me a viewing and helping me through the paperwork to seal the deal. Adam took COVID safety extremely seriously wearing a face mask at all times as well as gloves for visits. Really can't recommend Foxtons and Adam in particular enough.

I accompanied my brother as he looked for flats in the Kingston area. Adam was our advisor who showed us 3 different properties. I was pleased to see great practice with regards to coronavirus safety. The members of staff at the Foxtons branch were all wearing masks and Adam wore gloves when showing us around the properties and this helped us keep a good peace of mind. Adam was very informative and honest about the properties telling us the relevant pros and cons. He was also very friendly and chatty, so we had a good time. All in all I’d highly recommend Foxton’s service.

I am leaving this review with the only purpose of warning people who may be thinking of using Foxtons as a quality-guaranteed agent. At the beginning when a potential tenant shows interest in a property, they are extremely efficient and helpful, but one the first payment has been made and the tenancy agreement signed, they literally disappear. It is my duty as a good citizen to give the names of the persons that were responsible of the mess I suffered: Yasseen Jebara and Leanna Sherman both were working in the Surbiton brand in the Lettings department. Leanna was the manager. Firstly, and very important to remark, I was looking for a house to rent for myself and my family (wife + 1 year old child). I had a terrible experience with Foxtons when we rented a house in Akerman Road in Surbiton (KT65NS). We made an offer for an unfurnished property and subject to previous removal of the landlord’s fridge and washing machine as we were going to buy our own appliances. We asked the agent (Yasseen Jebara) if the shed was going to be emptied for our use, and he immediately responded YES of course. The check-in process was very strange, Foxtons did not allow me to be present during the inventory report, and I had to go to the brand to collect the keys of the property so I was on my own on the moving in day. My year-long nightmare starts at the moment I opened the door to discover the mess. I was firstly impressed by the terrible smell like a wet dog (this was the result of wetting but not cleaning the carpet. The carpets were completely dirty, and I had to pay a carpet cleaning from my own pocket costing me £360. This was very inconvenient as I had arranged for all my furniture to be delivered the day after the moving in date and I had to clean the carpet before, so I had to temporarily store my furniture (at my cost). Apart from that I found out that most of the window locks were broken so anyone from outside could access through the windows. My other big surprise was the discovery of all the landlord ancient furniture stored in a brand new (and much bigger) shed that he installed without telling me. Foxtons and the Landlord made their own arrangements without telling me a word. The new shed was taking a lot of space from the garden we saw during the viewing. Then I went to the kitchen and found the landlord’s appliances were in there (and it was part of the offer to get them removed before moving in). I had the delivery of my own appliances arranged for the day after moving in but I had to change the delivery date (at my own cost of course). Apart from these issues I found other important safety faults (like naked cables all around the house), stair steps broken and a shower with no pressure at all (we had to install a pump to be able to get enough pressure to take a decent shower). The landlord was also using the attic as his own personal storage (He used to come in the house every month to store / take his stuff). We were told the house was for sale but only for investors, so we didn’t pay much attention. Then after a couple of months we realised the big mistake we made as we had viewings every week. The landlord only wanted to sell the house and in the meantime, getting some extra cash from the rent. Finally the landlord would give us the notice to leave the property the day before the lockdown was establish in the UK because of the Covid-19 Pandemic. Landlord and Foxtons pushed us to move during the lockdown, he didn’t care I was a blood cancer patient. We moved out in June 2020 voluntarily for own our health. Yasseen Jebara and Leanna Sherman lied to me in my face. They were responsible to get the property ready for us the tenants, but they didn’t because Foxtons are only interested in the money and I had already paid the first month and the deposit. I would have cancel the tenancy but I couldn’t leave my family without a roof and couldn’t afford to lose another couple of weeks to find another place (and I was afraid of a potential and endless Court Process).

Recently engaged with Foxtons Kingston to Let an Apartment in the Kingston area. I found the agent Suganth Wimalendran , who dealt with myself and the property in question very professional and very timely with his responses. During Covid-19 the online portal they had was very helpful as it allowed me to complete all the documents online rather then having to go down to the office itself. We also viewed the Flat virtually which was a great experience. It does take a lot for me to actually feel motivated to provide feedback on a product or service that I have experienced. I especially did not think that I would have a fantastic experience in moving home. I associated it with the hassle of finding somewhere that both myself and my partner liked, was inside our budget, and came with all our requirements. However after working with Parm Ladwa in finding a property to rent, I really had no choice but to make the powers that be aware of the stellar job that Parm did in helping us view potential properties. We have been to several different agencies such as Oscarknight, Lauristons, Brinkleys etc., and dealing with different agents each time with each agency. There was no personal touch, to reference to requirements we had already provided, nothing you would expect from an agency looking to help potential tenants with finding a new home. Parm was head and shoulders above anyone we dealt with to this point. His knowledge of what we were looking for, ability to rattle off facts of each property as we were viewing them, and help keep me informed in regard to each area we were viewing was superb. He really provided myself and my partner Anne-Marie that personal touch in helping us find a property, advised us taking our needs and wants into consideration, and really helped streamline the whole process. I would not hesitate to recommend foxtons to anyone looking for a home, but I would go a step further and tell them to personally request Parm. I believe that’s the best way I can put my Foxtons experience feedback. Thanks Parm, and I do hope this reaches the desk of your managers internally.

Do not use this business! I had paid a deposit on a shared flat. Everything was going forward until the property manager cancelled my contract before I moved in, as it turns out the 3 tenants living there had not been paying their rent for months so Foxtons have decided to keep my deposit and told me they will not give it back as the land lord is owed thousands. These people can not manage properties and will rob you for your money. Do not trust them!

Foxtons did really well for me. They found a buyer quickly. They kept in touch with both myself and the buyer , and when nothing was moving, because the disorganised and uncooperative duo representing the freeholders would not cooperate and fill out the LPE1 form, Christian Dickson from Foxtons stepped in and managed to reason with the freehold group and cajole them into cooperating. I was initially contacted by Simon Harmer at Foxtons Kingston, who proved very loyal over a long period, we had good conversations about the market, he was very polite and informative, he built up a relationship which made me feel, 'let's give it a go, maybe they are worth it'. I would say that the slightly higher Foxtons fee has proved to be really worth it, because it was a difficult sale because of problem freeholders and I really needed them. Above all, they seem to be intelligent people, who understand and look after clients. Christian Dickson was excellent and Ambhar Dar good in her role as well. Very importantly, Christian had the confidence to use his role as a go-between who can talk to and email the seller, the seller's solicitor, the freeholder's solicitor, the freeholder themselves, the buyer, the buyer's solicitor, and can smooth out problems. This is a really key role: when the solicitors don’t tell you what is going on, having an agent who works with all parties and can call up everyone involved and find out what is happening can be really helpful in keeping things on track, explaining hold ups, and keeping both buyer and seller informed.
