I contacted Foxton’s in Kingston to find out what floor a flat they were advertising was on. In order to answer this simple question, they wanted me to open an online account which would then be bombarded with adverts for flats I wasn’t interested in and refused to answer my original question until I had done this. Dreadful as always

We listed our house with foxtons and the service has been abysmal. There’s been next to no effort or movement with trying to sell the house, no communications with any options etc. You get an account online which shows upcoming viewings - almost all viewings ‘booked’ haven’t actually happened and they don’t contact us to confirm it either. You expect a lot from an estate agent with their level of commission - dont bother.

GoogleIf I could give Foxtons Kingston a zero rating for customer service i would. they are super nice when they want your business but are just useless when the deal is in the bag. Please don't use them. Ciara Dupont is the most inefficient admin i have ever come across. She doesn't understand anything and no idea about customer service. Everything was my fault for their mistakes. Nothing was their responsibility and the onus was all on me according to Ciara. This is all considering that Foxtons charges a non negotiable 17% service charge to the landland but the landlord is expected to do everything themselves especially when I live on the other side of the planet and am not well versed with UK latest laws. They don't think to inform the landlord on what is needed and what paperwork is required by the tax office. Daniel Green from lettings is only interested in your money. No after service treatment. Stay far far away from him!

GoogleI have just become a tenant. Making this happen was no small task, as there was a lot of pressure from us to get it sorted very quickly. We owe it all to Lauren Morgan, from the Kingston office, because she took wonderful care of us. She kept looking for the best possible deals, she would inform us promptly about news, and she really went above and beyond to make sure we were happy and everything would get sorted as soon as possible. I love to see someone who enjoys what she does and does it amazingly. Huge thanks to Lauren and we also appreciated her manager’s help.

She listened attentively to my needs and requirements, and she was able to find me the perfect property within my budget. Dan was equally impressive, and he helped me find suitable tenants for my property quickly and efficiently. He was always responsive to my queries.Both agents were always available to answer any questions and were willing to provide support whenever needed. I would highly recommend them!

GoogleMy experience with Foxtons was amazing! Nicola was my agent and she was just wonderful! She was very professional and outgoing and really took the time to search out a few different properties that would really fit what my fiancé and I were looking for. used to be good but ever since the intro of the renters rights acts, property management service has dropped off a cliff. This bad for landlords because they get poor management, bad for tenants because they get poor representation, and bad for the industry because estate / letting agents are no longer accountable.

TrustpilotI feel that the experience was negative
I put my flat up for sale with my Foxtons, I was going to go with another agent but they were very pushy and said how they managed to sell better than anyone so I went with them. I was under the impression my flat would go straight up but after I signed the contract it took them 2 weeks to take photos and put them up, in the meantime they put up a video of the flat from a mid-term inspection where it looked absolutely disgusting. I had never seen this video and I don't see why it would be allowed to be put up without my permission, I asked for it to be removed, they didn't and it took them nearly the 2 weeks to remove it. The photos they took were adequate but not particularly great, I was pretty disappointed. I felt that the price was extremely over inflated (like all their prices) but respected they knew better than me, but when every single person gave feedback that it was way overpriced and no one showed any interest I became quite embarrassed. I found it very hard to contact my sales agent and just gave up most times after leaving numerous messages. I heard from my agent 10 times more before I signed with them than I did during my contract. When I gave notice 28 days before the end after having no interest, I was reminded how they are the number one and warned that going to another agent would not solve the issue. Their commission is so much more than everyone else but I feel my experience with their sales agent was extremely poor and I can't believe I had no interest in my nice flat. I feel I made a mistake going with them and would caution anyone thinking of them. Also I rented my flat with them for nearly 2 decades and my last tenant emailed them notice which they said they did not receive until the next day so they extended the end date to one day beyond the end of the month, they then charged me a management fee of £9 for the one day (and she paid £1 something rent for that one day). I will never rent with them again due to the complete lack of transparency with regards to money. (As for the excuse that the housing market is quiet I put my other property up for sale at the same time and it sold within 2 weeks, but then again the photos were really good and the price was reasonable).

Extremely poor experience with Foxtons. We were left without proper cooking facilities for 25 days, which had a major impact on our daily life and forced us to spend extra money on food. A functioning cooker is a basic part of any home, yet this was not handled with the urgency it deserved.

GoogleI”m a FTB and recently bought a flat in Kingston and was guided through the process by Michael Owen at Foxtons Kingston (and also occasionally by his colleague Steven McGuire). These guys were GREAT. Even though technically they were working on behalf of the seller, they were so helpful to me that I felt like they were working for me. Michael gave me a ton of useful advice and in fact most of my updates through the whole process came from him rather than my solicitor. My mum wants to move to Kingston in the near future and if I can involve Michael and Steven in the process I will.

Whilst looking for somewhere to rent I found a lot of estate agents in the area really pushy and found that they only told you what you wanted to hear. Nicola was always honest with us which was really helpful and she always tried to keep our unique situation in mind when finding houses for us to view.

GoogleExtremely Disappointing and Unethical Experience - Avoid Foxton Agency I am writing this review to warn others about my highly negative and frustrating experience with Foxton Agency in Kingston Upon Thames. I would strongly advise anyone considering renting a property through them to look elsewhere. My issues began just before my move-in date. After signing the tenancy agreement, Foxton Agency informed us at the last minute that the rent would be increased. Because we had already given notice to our previous landlord, we were left with no choice but to accept this sudden and unethical demand. The deceit continued. When we paid the increased rent and deposit, they failed to deposit the full amount of our deposit into the deposit protection scheme as legally required. As new tenants, we were not aware of this fraud until much later. This was the second time they had cheated us. The situation worsened upon moving out. Despite having a full deposit, Foxton Agency unjustly cut the entire amount, claiming it was for "cleaning." This was sent to us just before the date we were due to get the deposit back. When we initially approached their staff, they promised to speak with the landlord and help us get our money back. However, they later withdrew their support entirely, which I believe is due to their managing other properties for the same landlord. Additionally, our experience was full of smaller, yet significant, frustrations. We were made to wait for an unreasonable amount of time to get our keys and were not informed that the common washing machine was chargeable. They hide crucial information from us, a clear sign of their lack of transparency and professionalism. I have all the proofs of these fraudulent activities, but it seems their "cheating mindset" will not change. They are an agency that traps you once you transfer money. I am completely frustrated and disgusted with their services. I will not be recommending Foxton Agency to any of my friends, colleagues, or anyone else. Save yourself the stress and find a different agency.
