I appreciate this situation hasn’t been ideal for you. To bring some clarity to the situation. Your offer was accepted and as agreed the property was immediately removed from the market and all viewings cancelled which was conveyed to you. We then received an offer from an applicant who viewed the previous week. By law this was reported to our client and you were informed and given the opportunity to revise your offer if you wished. We respectively understood that you wished not to increase. We acted with integrity, transparency and professionalism. Ultimately we have to put forward any offer made until exchange of contracts to abide by current law. It is very disappointing for you which we completely understand. I am sure you can appreciate this is a difficult position all round and we have to act in the interest of our clients and in line with current law and regulations.We wish you all the best with your property search and are very happy to discuss this further as per our email should you wish to do so.

Awful, unreliable and unprofessional service. Gemma gave us a video viewing of a flat to rent in Bath... it felt quite rushed, and the picture quality wasn't that good. More importantly, however, was the appalling and unprofessional communication. Moving house or moving to a new city and renting somewhere is extremely stressful for people, and so, if we are going to invest our time and energy contacting an estate agent, we expect a reliable and considerate service. Eveleighs was neither of these and left us hanging in a very disrespectful way. I wrote a couple of emails to Gemma explaining that time was of the essence and we really need to be updated on the progress of our application; only to find out, four days later, that the property has been let and that our time has been completely wasted, without even so much as a courtesy call or email to inform us. As a homeowner, I have dealt with a lot of estate agents in my time, and I can confidently assert that I will never deal with these people again.
