Googlestudenttenant are fantastic. they found me some great tenants very quickly and the whole contract, deposit etc was quickly sorted. It was even free to list! I can't recommend them highly enough. They also do full management of the property too at a fraction of the cost of the high street.

GoogleI am currently still waiting for my deposit to be returned after moving out months ago. Student tenant has not been helpful at all and they are still advertising the accommodation even though my flat mates and I haven’t received our money back. Scammers!!
Hi Courteney, Sorry to hear that you are unhappy. We strictly follow government guidelines to ensure your deposit is protected. There are three government backed deposit schemes, Deposit Protection Service, MyDeposits and Tenancy Deposit Scheme. All of our deposits are lodged through the Custodial scheme with the Deposit Protection Service, meaning that all deposit moneys are not held by us, but within the scheme itself. As the tenancy deposit is lodged into a scheme authorised by the government, all deductions are mediated by an independent body who collect all information and evidence from both the tenant and the landlord (or letting agent), to agree whether deductions are made and how much. When it comes to processing deposit deductions, we simply act upon instructions from the landlord and any claims must be backed by evidence when processed through the scheme. GoogleI was a new 'landlord' to the student lettings market this year and I could not have had a better company to help me through the process! It's great to have a local team who actually have the first hand experience specifically in student lets. I spoke with 3 other high street agents all of which had only 1 or 2 people dealing with their lettings, and hardly any of them could offer that specialist student property knowledge. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking to let their student property.

GoogleI am a new Landlord in Canterbury and had concerns about renting a property which is not local to me. Student Tenant have been brilliant on many levels. I was struggling to book viewings for my property, within a week of instructing Student Tenant the bookings were rolling in. It was helpful for me to receive the enquires and bookings by email because it allowed me to see if my property was getting the right exposure and level of interest. Within a very short space of time my property was let for the 2014 year and everything was taken of by Jade at Student Tenant. I think the most positive part of my experience with the company are the staff, they are a pleasure to deal with, Jade or one of the team is always available to discuss any concerns or queries, matters are always dealt with swiftly and they are on the phone or email with answers quickly, there is no tiresome chasing up. My property has already been let for 2015 and I hope to have many years of lets through Student Tenant.

GoogleI have been advertising my properties in Canterbury with Student Tenant for two years now. The staff at Student tenant go over and above what you would expect from any letting agency. All the staff are friendly and listen to your requirements with each tenancy. When you ask any advice from the staff they are always willing to find the answers for you, staff always return phone calls quickly. Jade in particular is always bubbly and understanding with my requirements with one house being only for Mature students. The Student tenant website is easy to understand for both Landlord and Tenant. I look forward to advertising with Student Tenant again this year and for many years to come. Easy to contact when you need them, staff are helpful, the website is easy to use. Already recommended to my friends without hesitation - I won’t go anywhere else!

Before the legislation changes their service was free to landlords and as such was therefore worth a punt as an additional source of recruiting tenants.
In November 2022, StudentTenant was acquired by Rooms4U and set up as a new business entity. We are very sorry to hear that you did not have a positive experience with the company under the old ownership. However, as a new business we would like to invite you back to use our services again. We've put in a lot of time and investment over the past few weeks to improve the systems and services to ensure that we’re doing everything we can to assist our customers effectively.

GoogleWorse letting agent i have come across. Very bad customer service currently holding my rent payment with no clue when payment wil be made. I would never bring any of my peoperties to this company as a landlord would strongly suggest any firm but this.

GoogleAbsolutely useless, two of our chairs were broken upon moving in and they said “chairs are a cosmetic item so we do not need to replace them” also I didn’t have a key when I moved in so I asked for a keypad code and it was the wrong code and as a result I was locked out for 3 hours
