Decided to leave. Heard two other tables complain about the service charge automatically being on the bill because of terrible service. Despite being a cold day we weren’t allowed to sit inside even though all tables inside were empty. The staff couldn’t even provide a decent explanation as to why not and so we stayed wrapped up in our coats shivering for the meal, on a wonky broken table. Our food, when it arrived, was not much to rave about. A lovely looking full sandwich was taken to a nearby table; I ordered the gluten free version and received a very sorry looking thinly-filled sandwich, no garnish. And charged £15 for the privilege. I only had a limited time to catch up with my mum so didn’t want to make a fuss but it was disappointing to say the least. And even more so as when we passed by on our to the station half an hour later that the staff were showing people into the warmth indoors. The vegan coconut bacon sandwich was delicious with loads of flavour and a good mix of texture. The matcha rose latte was fine, but it arrived less than lukewarm, and the staff weren't particularly apologetic about it. I've been to the one in Notting Hill so was happy to see another one had opened as that one can get quite busy. This was busy too, mostly due to them not allowing people to sit outside owing to "staff issues". I managed to get a seat but only because I was by myself. I had their GF pancakes - quite nice but I've had better with more toppings for cheaper elsewhere. Chai latte was good, but I got it after I had my food. I left a bit disappointed in all honesty.

I came to Farm Girl hoping to work on my laptop while enjoying a cup of coffee and a pastry. Before ordering, I asked if this was allowed, and the staff checked with the manager, confirming it was absolutely fine. However, not long after sitting down, before I had even finished my coffee and pastry, I was abruptly told that I needed to leave. This was frustrating, especially since I had specifically asked about working on my laptop beforehand. If there was a time limit, I should have been informed at the door when I first inquired. To make matters worse, the coffee seemed half-empty right from the start, and I’ve attached a photo to show how it looked before I even took a sip. Additionally, the person tidying up the cutlery was incredibly loud, with constant clattering that made it impossible to focus. The real issue here seemed to lie in the management’s inconsistency, as the staff were simply following instructions. It’s clear the management was more concerned with freeing up my table and seat to gain more money, rather than providing a consistent and customer-friendly experience. The positive: A very cute place with friendly staff and nice decor. However, for the upscale prices you should expect size portions. For a granola yogurt bowl £9.5 and then only a little scoop of yogurt is not justified. Also the Chai Latte looks very sweet but is not huge and if you look at the prices of the area very overpriced. Great food but the service was not great. We were sat for a good 20 minutes before we had to go looking for someone to take our order. In fairness everyone was working flat out, but there was just one young guy just standing around looking bored. He walked passed me a few times and full on ignored me when I tried to speak to him. He had to be directed to us by the woman in charge to take our order. I felt very badly for the other service running around while he just stood at a computer.

Today’s brunch promised to be nice, we visited natural history museum and were in love with London, unfortunately not everything here is a pleasant surprise. I wanted to order avocados toast from adult menu and 4 dishes from kids menu for my son who is truly a picky eater and we are happy with whatever he eats. And the waiter who took our order was very nice, but his manager came just after he took our order to say that we “can’t order four dishes for one child because you obviously going to eat them as they are pretty big. And it’s not fait to customers”. Exactly this wording. To say I was abashed is a bit of an understatement. Her face was wearing a judgy smirk. Wow. Well lady, we have lived over the world and we do eat out at least once a day almost every single day for a few years now due to this exact same reason, our son is a picky eater. We always order several dishes that we think he might try. and while in an adult menu only restaurant we still order several dishes and we eat all what he refuses upon arrival to the table, it is nice order from kids menu for him to choose. The problem you said was that we are going to eat his food too. Well, should we just throw it away? You said the portions were huge. Okay I will attach the photo of kids schnitzel. Seriously this is big? Our child (4yo) eats three times the size of your schnitzel. And you called it huge. The photo shows a plate where schnitzel is not touched, only broccoli was eaten. We ended up not ordering any more dishes for him only kids menu schnitzel because I wanted to leave without being looked upon as an “abuser” of kids menu. Can you imagine? I could never ever think of such a notion before. As if they serve kids food at a loss? Really? Look at this dish from kids menu for 7£. I don’t think you are doing it a loss considering how much schnitzel is served. Even at your add on in adult menu this schnitzel is offered for 5,5£. So what is the point of this performance? How many restaurants I experienced in my life, but this malignant restaurant experience I have encountered for the first and hopefully the last time. We had breakfast here on a morning we were leaving London. We were seated promptly and the place is cosy while the tables are not too close together. I had stalked this place on insta before heading to London, thrilled that it was close by where we were staying, but what a let down, The atmosphere was the only thing that this place had going for it and that's because we sat outside, ordered the Acai bowl and it looked thrown together in a bowl that was chipped on the side, ordered a portion of toast, got a slice of sourdough.. no butter.. who eats dry toast? By the time the butter came (it had to be ordered from the kitchen) the toast was cold... what a let down. I visited this place a few days ago and was extremely disappointed with the service. The staff was largely inattentive, staff chatting all the time instead of attending to customers. Despite waiting outside to be served, I was repeatedly ignored. Additionally, I observed what appeared to be the “manager”, a lady with brown hair, chatting with another waitress in their native language (Italian). The staff(I don't know the name but the male waiter) was ignorant. I waited a long time to place an order, and making eye contact with the waiter was nearly impossible. Even the coffee took a long time to arrive. I tried to make eye contact again to ask for the bill, but when that didn’t work, I went to the counter. The barista pointed me out to the waiter, but the waiter still avoided looking at me, moved slowly, and made me wait for a while. Then he came over and told me to return to my table. It was very rude of him to send me back to the table(my table was near the counter btw) as if trying to teach me a lesson, even though I had the POS device in front of me and had been waiting there for a while. Fab little eatery right in the heart of S. Kensington. You could argue all day long about authentic Huevos Rancheros, but that was one of the single tastiest brunch bowls I've had anywhere. This wasn’t a good service. I went this evening with my mum and we ordered two coffees made with vegetable milk, but they gave us animal milk (when the menu clearly says it’s of coconut). My mother is lactose intolerant and she drank most of it until we realized they got our drinks wrong. It is very difficult to be a bad waiter, and they just didn’t even got bothered about it.
