GoogleTook £300 from my Partner as a ‘holding deposit’ the agent, called Emily, accepted our initial sources of income, after we tried to prove this, Emily rejected the forms of proof and kept the £300. AVOID
Thank you for your review, however respectfully you have left out the part where you agreed to the retention of the holding payment by signing the form as part of your application. As per the tenant fee ban regulations, an agent or landlord is entitled to withhold the holding payment under set circumstances. We have written to you to explain which of those circumstances apply to you. We made it clear what was required as part of your application and you did not provide this. You have breached this agreement hence the retention. We advised that we are happy to work with any party you feel necessary to involve in this matter as we have done nothing wrong in this regard.
