Rented a property on the 13th March 2021 and moved out on the 13th May 2022, never missed a payment and I thought I took exceptional care whilst in possession. Expect 6 monthly inspections no matter how long the duration (which is fair I guess), also expect them to demand that you allow viewers to see the property circa 3 weeks before you leave but the most disappointing issue I found with Boultons is their attempt to with hold virtually all your bond for minor/wear and tear. They started with approx 20 bullets points which has currently whittled down to 10 and included for things like deep cleaning and items which were defective at the start of the tenancy. Luckily I had taken extensive photos and videos. I am in the process of raising a dispute with DPS but I would urge folk to be very careful if you don't want to end up in my position.

Won’t ring you back to arrange a viewing. Tried to call again several times to chase up and the phone was never answered. Even my partner tried and got nowhere. Had to find out that the house was SSTC via the website and despite being cash buyers wanting to offer full price we didn’t even get a look in. Such a shame because they started off so well by calling back on a Saturday which I didn't expect at all. So well done for that.NegativeResponsiveness

No communication skills at all

We found a house which we really liked so arranged a viewing put an offer in then waited & waited. After a few days we called to check it had been put to the vendor to be told it had & was rejected. Fair enough. We went back with a full asking price & again we waited & waited. During this time we kept looking & actually found another property so we put an offer in & had it accepted.

I moved into a property managed by Boultons 2 years ago and they have been a joy to deal with, Jane has always gone the extra mile and is a great example of how customer service should be done. Boultons is more than just a commercial business, the staff care about their tenants and always rectify any problems quickly. We also spoke with the mortgage advisor who booked us in with 2 days notice, he wasn’t pushy and was more interested in giving us the information we needed to get ourselves on to the property ladder when the time is right for us. Absolutely FANTASTIC Letting agents. Fiona dealt with my application and was brilliant from start to end. I had a couple of very small issues when I moved in to my new propert, after speaking with Fiona all issues were resolved within days. Literally blow away by the fast speed the issues were resolved. Nice staff when you call. Unfortunately they overpriced a house I had an offer accepted on, this came to light once the lender did their own valuation.
