Ocean Estate Agents - Downends' team have been amazing during the purchase of our first home. All the team have gone above and beyond to help us. From the initial house viewings, with Molly and Joe through to the completion, with Lisa they have all been both professional and personable. Although they were not our solicitors, the whole process was smooth and hassle-free due to Lisa continuously keeping is informed and in the loop, on what was happening, and what needed to happen to get us completed. Ocean have taken on marketing our apartment and have done a great job. We have had numerous applicants who are all suitable. We have various levels of management to chose from. Everyone we have dealt with in the Lettings Dept have been very helpful, especially Abu, who has dealt with our enquiries courteously and efficiently. Nothing has been too much trouble for him.

Charlie at ocean in Portishead has been the best help. It is mine and my boyfriends first time moving out and we couldn’t of had anyone better to help us through this experience! He got us in for a viewing almost straight away and his reply’s back to our emails was very fast and helpful! He also made us feel very comfortable during our viewings!

We were introduced to a delightful property just as it came onto the market which enabled us to view it without too much competition.Ocean agency staff were helpful and held our hand(s) by use of the Lawyers ‘Activity App’ to mark the progress of our intended purchase. We had planned to move into our new home in October’24, which would have been our preferred moving date.Unknown legalities resulted in our delayed move. The unpredictability regarding the legal constraints was quite testing & frustrating and resulted in increased stamp duty costs.Thankfully our landlords were cooperative as we couldn’t be clear on an actual date of our notice to quit our tenancy agreement. We are finally in our beautiful new home and settling into our new surroundings. Thank You

GoogleAwful awful company. They never answer the phone. Our house has black mould and when they came around they laughed and said "every house in Brighton has mould". We have a mouse problem which we informed them about 5 weeks BEFORE we moved in which they still haven't solved (now three months into the tenancy). They said "we resolved this issue already" even though we see the mouse every day. We had a leak which filled the fuse box with water and they sent someone round who mopped it up with a tea towel and then left the wet tea towel on top of the electrical box. No one has been round to check the electrics for safety since then. The hallway emergency lights flicker on and off at random intervals since the leak. Seriously avoid this letting agency if you want a decent place to live. I will not be renewing my tenancy
