After 8 months of problems.

After 8 months of problems trying to buy my new flat. Sue Vila took on the property, and within a few days things started to move. Sue was so helpful. Phoning me, keeping in touch, letting me know what was happening. I’m sure that if Sue had not taken on the property, I would still be waiting. Instead I now have the keys to my lovely new flat. Super friendly and supportive

After weeks of speaking to moody and disengaging estate agents Brand Vaughan were so friendly on the phone and in-person. They were so supportive and polite that I was comfortable asking lots of questions instead of shying away. I’m so happy that I found a property match with them! I particularly liked that they had little information flyers about how to apply etc that they gave me when I went for the viewing. It was nice not having to retain too much information. But most of all I love how friendly they are over the phone…made the property price a little more worth it. Special shoutout to Mia and Joshua for helping me out so far!

Brand Vaughan: the worst letting agents I've had

Brand Vaughan are hands down the worst letting agents I have ever had. When I moved in the freezer still had old food in it and the dishwasher had mould inside. I had to find alternative accommodation for 3 nights in order for them to get cleaners round. Throughout my tenancy no one from Brand Vaughan ever looked round the flat. There was mould on the walls, peeling paint and damp. Avoid!!

We are international students who moved from London to Brighton insearch of employment opportunities and a more welcoming environment for the LGBTQ+ community, aswe are both gay immigrants. We both have Settled Status in the United Kingdom.We rented our current accommodation through the letting agency Brand Vaughan. Brand Vaughan isthe trading name of Cambridge Brand Vaughan Limited, registered in England & Wales, with theregistered office address at 70 St. Mary Axe, London, EC3A 8BE, and company number 09467584.In March, a significant issue arose in our ground-floor apartment. The window frame of the living roomwindow, which faces the street and the courtyard, became damaged. Specifically, the middle section ofthe three-part window frame, which is the largest part, was affected. As a result of this damage, we areunable to open, close, or secure this window. There is also a gap of approximately 5cm (about 1.97 in)between the glass and the frame, which we have attempted to seal with tape to prevent drafts.Since reporting this issue to our letting agency in March, several technicians have inspected the windowand confirmed that it requires repair or replacement. However, each time a repair estimate, quotationsis provided, the agency communicates with the landlord, and the estimates are subsequently rejected.We have been dealing with this unresolved issue for several months.

This agency are so sneaky and all they care about is taking students money. Thank God we never had any major maintenance issues with our house the maintenance time frame was absolutely ridiculous, it took them nearly 3 weeks to fix a broken toilet flush. we only had one toilet in the whole house(4 BEDROOM HOUSE).At the end of tenancy they did not come to inspect the house before we moved out and we deep cleaned the house before leaving, nearly a month after moving out these agencies had the audacity to charge the flat £894 for apparently cleaning the house and cutting the back garden, meanwhile when we asked a Gardner couple days before moving out to provide us with a quote for the front and back garden he said "£200" for both, so imagine the daylight robbery. This is very unfair and we tried to dispute the issue but the house was already cleaned and new tenants have moved in, all the cleaning companies we called(about 4 companies) once they find out we were with Brand Vaughan they say they cannot provide us with a quote as the agency would come back shouting at them for giving us a lower quote, I found this was very strange. All they care about is taking students money, I DO NOT RECOMMEND.

I have been with this agency for about 3 years, and as far as there are no problem with the property and you pay your rent, they only contact you for renewals and not much else. I reported a leak 2 years ago, after all this time they haven't done anything, not even pretending. Now is time to renew the contract and they want to increase the rent £100 but without fixing the leaks. Contacted few of the members, and even one of the managers and they just pass the ball to each other, no one is taking responsibility and the ceiling will fall one of this heavy rain days. Be careful with this agency....
