Five star treatment from Adam Denton at AR Lettings earned as follows: 1st star for promptness - Adam made an appointment and kept it, without delay after I approached him about letting my newly-purchased property in Hove; 2nd star for expertise - he assessed my property precisely and was realistic about anticipated rental; 3rd star for not giving smooth sales talk - he offered me a reasonable expectation of prompt interest in renting my property and, true to his word, I had my tenants move in within two weeks; 4th star for minimum of fuss and paperwork - once I had agreed upon the tenancy, I was able to leave it all to Adam to arrange and settle; and 5th star for payment received - the first payment was in my account by the time the tenants moved in. Thank you Adam for really professional service.

I have rented with AR Lettings for the past 9 years and have been pleased with their approachability and service. The staff have dealt with difficult neighbouring tenants on my behalf, have taken ownership of mistakes on their part and are always ready to listen. I'd like to especially call out Lucy, Leonor, Bradley, and all the professional decorators (Neil!), plumbers (Asa/Richard/Tony from back in the day) and others who have helped when things break down. If I had my way, I'd be back.

Rented with a private landlord through AR lettings. We agreed a move out date (last day of the month) with Caroline and AR were informed. We gradually started moving belongings out of the flat a week before we were due to hand the keys back. Four days before the agreed move out date I was informed by AR that the landlord had arrived at the property without any notice and wanted us to contact her as she was going to throw away the remaining belongings in the flat. When I called AR for advice they said this was between us and the landlord and offered no help or mediation. My flatmate phoned Caroline and calmly explained that we had agreed to move out at the end of the month, but Caroline would not listen to her and shouted. I phoned her next and she was extremely aggressive, would not let me speak and reduced me to tears. She told me my belongings would be taken to the tip. I had to leave work quickly in the middle of the day to make sure this did not happen, and upon arrival to the flat (which I still had keys for and had not fully moved out of) many of my items were in bin bags. I took away what I could but tried to leave as soon as possible as I was scared. I have never experienced anything like this in my life after renting for 15 years. AR were extremely unhelpful, and work with unprofessional and threatening landlords. I would not recommend dealing with this company.

Not a real review site. They consider facts to be defamatory. How am I supposed to leave a review when EVERYTHING I say is considered defamatory? When companies scam you, everything you say about them can be considered defamatory if you talk about how they scammed you. This site makes absolutely no sense. How am I supposed to leave an honest review when you consider absolutely everything defamatory. It seems TrustPilot is only there for good reviews. You will never get honest reviews from TrustPilot. Honest reviews are removed if they hurt someone's feelings.

Trustpilot removed my honest review calling out poor service, claiming it violated rules, but it was just the truth. Interestingly, similar bad reviews from others are left standing. Could it be that companies flag aggressively when they're drowning in negativity? Frustrating, as this undermines trust. I continue using the site for checking sellers, though.
