Great Team and amazing service

So as first time buyer everything was new to me, the whole process. Shout out to Michael Sinnott whos service was amazing and he was just soo friendly and polite. I told him I decided to not buy anymore because of the high interest rates and for a couple of weeks we did stop looking. But Michael emailed me because he thought he found the perfect house for me and he was right. We saw the house and fell in love with it, so thank you to him because it would not have been possible without him. Next person to praise is Julie Bramble, she helped and advised me every step of the way and she was very quick in responding to me and helping me as much as she could (even though I asked soo many questions), she was always happy to help. Her service was amazing! I only gave 4*s because my interaction with the branch Manager wasnt as positive, I wasnt soo satisfied with his communication skills to me as a first time buyer. Overall I am very happy and thank you to the team and all the best. Thahrima

I would like to express my deep gratitude to the staff of the Cubitt&West agency, in particular, Paige White, for the high-quality, caring and fast support of the property at home. I am Ukrainian and this is my first time renting a property in the UK. Of course, I was worried, knowing that many difficulties could arise. My fears were in vain. The staff of the Cubitt&West treated us with respect, understanding and provided all possible assistance.We booked a viewing of the house in early April and Paige greeted us warmly and did a great job of introducing us to the house. We received a lot of help with the rental process, all of our questions were answered by email and phone calls very quickly, and they helped us fill out all the proper forms and get vetted. Paige handed us the keys in front of the house and showed us all the important aspects for running the property. We are now happy tenants! My experience both buying and renting with CW has been very very negative. Extremely poor customer care…always a different person dealing with you so literally no understanding or relationship is built up. A real impression that money is of vital importance to the company over the customer . So much so that they will likely see this review and not be all that bothered as they are doing good business so one bad review doesn’t matter. I’ve lived around the world and bought sold and rented….CW are the worst company I’ve ever dealt with. While looking to buy I requested to view a property to buy they had listed. I was told I could not view the property unless I saw their own financial advisor..."we want to know that the potential buyer can afford it" this despite showing them a mortgage offer with my own advisor. So clearly they wanted the commission. I guess this is somehow legal...but its a business practise I became used to with these guys. Every dealing with the company left an unpleasant taste.... I even made an offer on a house which was turned down (fair enough). I thankfully bought something else then idly walked past their window to see the property I had walked away from being advertised at lower than the price I had offered....I bet that seller was happy! CW basically spread themselves too thin…and have very ruthless management causing those lower down to deliver terrible service. I'd give no stars if I could.

I have a studio flat which I have now let through Cubitt and West to an excellent tenant. It has not been an easy process. We have taken a lot of their time, and changed our minds several times about which property we wanted to let. Also, the first tenant fell through, and we had to start the process again. We then had a further problem which took more time to resolve. Throughout this protracted period both John (da Silva) and George (Dean) have been really patient and helpful, as has Jodie Watson. They have reacted swiftly and with courtesy, and they have arranged and attended meetings with prospective renters. Nothing has been too much trouble. They have listened to us and done everything possible to smooth the process. I have felt that it really matters to them to find the right person, rather than anyone, to rent our property; even if that takes a bit more of their time. In summary- I have found the customer service to be outstanding. I would strongly recommend them, especially if the the property you have to let is not standard, and you have concerns about letting. I cannot speak too highly of their support and advice. It has been for us a thoroughly excellent process. Thank you so much, John and George.

I had a very unpleasant experience with the senior sales representative, Roanna Tyson (SM2).Despite reaching out for clarification on a few questions before potentially making an offer on an $700K house, her attitude was extremely disrespectful and made me feel unwelcome. Even though English isn't my first language, I believe that doesn't justify being treated poorly. It's disheartening to receive such treatment, If she didn't know the answers or didn't want to assist, a polite response redirecting me to another resource would have been appreciated. Her dismissive attitude and lack of professionalism left me feeling frustrated.This is exactly what she says ‘just let me know whether you put offer or not, we have received four offers already, so don't waste my time, your questions is back and forth” my questions only took her like 5-10 mins regarding some walls and structural issues around the house. I'm truly taken aback by the poor quality of customer service from this country's sales representatives. Dealing with such a disrespectful individual is incredibly disheartening. If Roanna Tyson harbors any biases against foreigners, I would much prefer she refrains from contacting me altogether. I'm not here to endure disrespectful treatment; I simply want to purchase a house. If she's unwilling to assist me respectfully, then I see no reason for her to contact me at all.

Moving to Woodingdean

A huge 'Thank You' to Steve, Sarah and Barbara @ Cubitt & West Woodingdean branch for our move down to the coast. Faultless throughout the process of the purchase side of the exchange which they were only were involved in throughout. There was a frustrating delay finalising the exchange and moved out of old house on morning of moving day and after driving to Woodingdean with usual solicitor issues we couldn't officially have the keys for another hour or so, but Barbara was lovely offering a hot cuppa to keep us going, who was also enjoyable to be with showing us other houses throughout our search until we found the one for us! Easy comms and pleasant to deal with throughout

Woodingdean sale

We sold our house in Woodingdean in December '23 and Steve Clamp and Sarah Haskell and team were very helpful. Things slowed down a little bit once it moved to the Sales progressor but we got there and the buyers were able to move in by Christmas so we kept to our timeline. We felt that we were given good advice throughout and dealing with Cubitt & West was easy and pleasant, so much so that we have already recommended them to neighbours.

This is solely based on Steve (not the new manager) and Sarah who have been awesome from start to finish. I had a tricky sale which went on for months and it nearly all fell though. Everything went ahead but the new manager who I’ve never met who took over from the original Steve turned up to my house while I’m moving out and had the audacity to tell me I’m breaching the contract and needed to be out the property in 5 mins! I was taken aback by how rude he was so based on this I’ll give Sarah and the original Steve who has now left the 5*. Rating but after meeting the new manager I can only say good luck to the people who have to work with him because Hes not a nice person and unfortunately I will not be using cubbit and west for my next sale due to this new manager he shown his true colours AVIOD!
