GoogleAfter struggling to get viewings with another agent, we opted to switch to Cubitt and West. After valuing our property, James had kept in touch with a gentle, respectful and helpful level of communication and so when we decided to switch agents it was an easy decision. The slightly higher fees were certainly worth signing up to an agent that we felt we could trust and who has a good knowledge of the market and a professional, friendly manner. James and the team worked around our family and at our pace, to get us back on the market. James didn't just rely on internet marketing and an open day was arranged early on with potential buyers being actively sought out. This provided us with quality viewings and led to a quick sale of our property. We would highly recommend James and are also appreciative to Carl and the team. If James wasn't in the office, there was always someone with a friendly, eager to help manner and knowledge of our property at the end of the phone.

GoogleJames and his team have been most helpful from visiting us to first value our home, through to securing an offer of sale. He has always been available to answer any questions we have had and we are very impressed with the whole service offered and would thoroughly recommend! Having watched a neighbouring property sit on the market with another agent for a number of months and now dropping in price with no sale, James secured us an offer within a week of going on Rightmove, above our asking price. GoogleA very interesting branch, where clearly the party atmosphere was already in swing on a Friday afternoon, where on two occasions the branch manager hid her open can of Gin and Tonic behind a frame on her desk. This formidable demonstration of leadership is also shown in her poor customer service, often forgetting who we were as buyers, even to the degree of remarketing the property as the sale time had exceeded her sales target for the quarter. Setting a good example to her team through her exemplary communication skills, the branch manager finds it perfectly acceptable to talk over the top of you and should work on her listening skills. I would definitely remarket my property with Cubitt and West when it comes to selling in the future. As they are the UK’s leading estate agent they clearly value their buyers in drinking on the job and not willing to remember or support their customers.

GoogleMy experience both buying and renting with CW has been very very negative. Extremely poor customer care…always a different person dealing with you so literally no understanding or relationship is built up. A real impression that money is of vital importance to the company over the customer . So much so that they will likely see this review and not be all that bothered as they are doing good business so one bad review doesn’t matter. I’ve lived around the world and bought sold and rented….CW are the worst company I’ve ever dealt with. While looking to buy I requested to view a property to buy they had listed. I was told I could not view the property unless I saw their own financial advisor..."we want to know that the potential buyer can afford it" this despite showing them a mortgage offer with my own advisor. So clearly they wanted the commission. I guess this is somehow legal...but its a business practise I became used to with these guys. Every dealing with the company left an unpleasant taste.... I even made an offer on a house which was turned down (fair enough). I thankfully bought something else then idly walked past their window to see the property I had walked away from being advertised at lower than the price I had offered....I bet that seller was happy! CW basically spread themselves too thin…and have very ruthless management causing those lower down to deliver terrible service. I'd give no stars if I could.

GoogleI have a studio flat which I have now let through Cubitt and West to an excellent tenant. It has not been an easy process. We have taken a lot of their time, and changed our minds several times about which property we wanted to let. Also, the first tenant fell through, and we had to start the process again. We then had a further problem which took more time to resolve. Throughout this protracted period both John (da Silva) and George (Dean) have been really patient and helpful, as has Jodie Watson. They have reacted swiftly and with courtesy, and they have arranged and attended meetings with prospective renters. Nothing has been too much trouble. They have listened to us and done everything possible to smooth the process. I have felt that it really matters to them to find the right person, rather than anyone, to rent our property; even if that takes a bit more of their time. In summary- I have found the customer service to be outstanding. I would strongly recommend them, especially if the the property you have to let is not standard, and you have concerns about letting. I cannot speak too highly of their support and advice. It has been for us a thoroughly excellent process. Thank you so much, John and George.
