GoogleWe have used Courtney Green Lettings for over ten years (and Block Management for three) and would recommend them without hesitation. Their staff have been professional, helpful, responsive, pro-active, effective and efficient across a range of activities and through their collective efforts over a long period have ensured our ownership/letting experience has been a good and successful one. Their work, advice and support is greatly appreciated. We deal with another agency regarding a relative's property in another part of the country and their performance makes us appreciate CG even more.

In a world where service can be lacking and you are left feeling that not everyone takes pride in their work, I have never felt this about Courtney Green. The people working in the Lettings Department are very dedicated and I have always felt they go above and beyond to sort things out. GoogleThe agent was rude and disrespectful. I wouldn't recommend this agency if you are looking to rent a house, they won't look after you as a tenant. We had to send in a form by 9am. I called at 9.05 with a query about the tenancy application papers because I didn't want to send them in without clarification and I was treated very badly. After answering my question the agent Freddie said to send in the papers in, he then emailed back immediately to say the landlord wouldn't be interested in our application and that the papers should have been in by 9am. I am tired of being treated badly by these agencies who have no respect for you because you don't have a very high salary and are just a tenant, not a landlord or someone with money to buy a property.NegativeProfessionalism
I am very sorry that you feel the way you do and understand why you’ve given us such a poor rating. Our colleagues are in a difficult situation at the moment during Covid and every property is oversubscribed by as many as 10 other potential tenants. There is an acute shortage of property and this situation will only be alleviated if better stocks of housing are available. Regretably, this is something that successive Governments have underestimated by relying completely on a private rental market. GoogleI have noticed there a lot of comments from landlords but mine is from the perspective of a tenant, renting for 20 months from pre- and post-pandemic times, and unfortunately my experience was not wholly positive. As far as finding, marketing and administration goes, the service was professional and efficient. As a tenant, however, I found the team often unresponsive to external maintenance requests, requiring reminders from me. A specific maintenance request - re-painting lines in the car park - was first ignored and then carried out poorly. A suggestion about installing a bike rack in available space was ignored. When my tenancy finished we had disagreements about normal wear and tear issues which resulted in me forfeiting a large amount of my deposit, mainly because I didn't have the time or energy to follow it up through legal channels. This was my first rental, with this issue and others suggesting to me that Courtney Green were on the side of the landlord rather than a taking a fair and balanced approach, taking the tenant into account. Overall then the service was a good one, but as a tenant I recommend scrutinising the inventory and making amendments/taking photos very carefully indeed. It might be sensible to only consider properties in excellent condition where my experience of the check out and ongoing maintenance would not impact your time as a tenant.NegativeResponsiveness, Quality
Hi Mr Southon I am sorry for not replying earlier, but I wanted to speak with the lettings team to fully understand your perspective. We are grateful for your review, but we are sorry that you were not happy with the end of tenancy claims. We invest in using independent inventory clerks to record the in-going and outgoing condition to help protect the interests of both the landlord and the tenant. However, unfortunately where there were damages noted as your liability and the Landlord felt these were chargeable, we, as the agent, are obliged contractually to the landlord and have the unenviable job of being the messenger in such situations. GoogleWe have been using Courtney Green Letting department for a over ten years now and can't rate them highly enough. They let two properties for us and provided a first rate service with both of them. Nothing is too much trouble, any queries are dealt with promptly and professionally and sorted out quickly. Having purchased the properties through Courtney Green initially, it was ideal then letting them with the same company. The whole process of finding tenants, managing the properties was seamless and pain free. An excellent company to deal with, having highly trained, knowledgeable staff that have a warm, friendly approach.

She put 100%of her time to care , take care and give us brilliant advice which was more helpful than our solicitor and really looked after us throughout the process. GoogleFrom a landlords perspective Courtney Green have been brilliant with all aspects of lettings and tenancy. They have guided me when I have need guidance to ensure that I comply with the latest (and ever changing!) legislation and they have been incredibly proactive and helpful when any maintenance issue has arisen. Great for me and probably even better for the tenants that they get problems fixed quickly - resulting in happy tenants and landlord. GoogleCourtney Green are the only people to sell our house. Their approach and ethos is perfect for selling quirky period properties - we are delighted to have just sold our beautiful cottage with them, which we bought through them, and they helped keep the chain together through so many failures!! They also sold our modern semi previously so not limited to period places. They are always ready with advice on our latest property - ref improvements, value, changes on neighbouring properties etc. Steve's knowledge of the Slinfold market and values is astounding. After trying other estate agents, we now know not to bother and will always go straight to Courtney Green.

Saw a property I liked on Rightmove and put an offer at asking price without viewing the property. The landlord “never” got back to them. Coincidentally they have a viewing 10 days after my offer and the landlord responded immediately taking another offer. General business advice - if the landlord is looking to rent at a specific price or is looking for a mini bidding war. Let the prospective tenant know. This way everyone is happy. Disappointed and truly a waste of time.
