My second time of using Readings Property Services.A local family business who are competitively priced. Terri once again guided us through the sale from start to finish. It was a difficult and problematic process this time due to the length of the chain. And I have no doubt that without Terri’s experience and expertise in dealing with all parties involved the sale would have fallen through. I cannot recommend Terri and the team at Readings enough! GoogleI wanted to buy a property in Rainham. I viewed the property and put an offer. only to be told that the vendor liked another couple, so they have accepted a lower offer. fair enough. Two weeks later, I saw the same property, still being advertised online. I asked them if it is available. I was told yes and they asked me if I would like to view it. I said, I will put an offer. I was transferred to James, who told me what the vendor is expecting, I matched my offer to what the vendor was looking for. after a while, James phones me back to tell me that the offer has been accepted. I arranged/paid a solicitor the next day and my mortgage application was submitted within 4 days. I asked them to take the property off the market or mark it as SOLD STC. but I was told that they cannot do that until the survey has been carried out. Everything was going very smooth, until Terri got involved (the lady who told me earlier that the vendor liked another couple and she would call me if anything would change). Terri phoned me one week after the offer was accepted, and told me that they have received another offer, which is just 5k more, and asked me i I would like to match it. I don't like to be blackmailed, so I asked her, whats the guarantee that she would not receive another offer. and I will be forced to match again. I also told her that I have paid my solicitor and my mortgage application has also been submitted. she was not bothered about it. So I said to her that she can take the other offer. I then noticed that, as soon as I told her that. the property was taken off the market. I knew something fishy was going on. I tried to speak with James, but this lady (Terri) would never transfer me to him. After one week, I phoned again and spoke with Terri. I offered her 5k more than what the other person offered. I wanted to see whats her response is going to be. as expected, she said that it is too late now, as the other party has already arranged a solicitor and they are arranging their mortgage. I told her, I was in better position, as I had already applied for my mortgage. she, very halfheartedly said, she will put my offer forward. She didn't answer my phone for next 3 days. I knew what the outcome was going to be, but I wanted to see what excuse she comes up with. she finally answered my phone and told me that because the other buyer had started the paperwork, the vendor has decided to stick with them. I asked her, that I had done the paperwork too, so why did they do what they did. her response was, the vendor liked them. I still don't understand howcome the vendor always met the other couple and I didnt even knew their name. conclusion is, I don't think it was the vendor who caused this. it was reading property services. I won't say it was because of my identity, but I won't rule it out either.or she wanted to give it to someone who she knew. Terri's role has been very fishy.NegativeProfessionalism

GoogleReadings Lettings Division - Mark Kleister has been an absolute star all the way through the lettings process. His attention to detail, attentiveness and responsiveness has been exemplary. I could not fault the service he has provided from before the property was let, through the letting process, signing of the lease agreement etc., and the after sales service, that he and the Readings Lettings team have provided, after they successfully moved in the new tenant. Special mention also goes to Lea. She has been very honest and upfront with the potential tenants and her advice was correct upon choosing the right tenant for us. I would not hesitate to go back to Readings Property Services again if and when I need to let my property. Well done to Mark, Lea and the team and many thanks for your invaluable help.

GoogleWe just completed on our property purchased through Readings! The whole experience went extremely smoothly thanks to Terri who was very knowledgeable and was able to answer all our questions. I was very impressed with how Terri found us our perfect home so quickly just in time for the little one who needs so much space! I would use Readings again as I found them to be professional, reliable and went that extra mile to deliver a top-quality service from such genuine people who are a pleasure to deal with. GoogleA big thank you for Terri at readings for all her help and advise and assistance in helping us buy our apartment. It was a stressful 5 months as buying always is . However , Terri was very informative and always contacted us to give us updates every week. Terri was kind and understood our requirements for what we wanted to buy. We are now in our apartment and it feels like home and it feels that we have been here much longer than 5 days . I can't speak highly enough of Elm Park Readings in particular Liz Curbishley who dealt with my sale.I initially met with Liz and she dealt with everything relevant to the completion.This included phot's marketing, selling and liason from start to finish.In fact we had accepted a price on the first day of marketing.Liz is of a very pleasant disposition, friendly, well presented, explains everything and nothing is ever too much trouble for her.The property that sold had been in my family since built in 1949 and Liz was very respectful of that probably helped by the fact that Readings are a family run business themselves.The rate of commission was even better than any competitors I dealt with too.In concluding I would thoroughly recommend Elm Park Readings and would definatelyuse them againrequesting Liz again as my co-ordinator.

From the start I could tell her approach was different to other agents having the unpleasant experience of having 2 deals which have fallen through before we found Liz. Thanks to her always being on top of everything and there for us we managed to complete within a little more than a month which was just unbelievable!

Bought a property through readings in Hornchurch and completed in November. Must say they were brilliant from start to finish. They were very helpful during the buying process and were very clear and transparent. I dealt with Terri mostly and she was always around to answer my questions. She always called back if she missed my call and above all she was just pleasant to deal with. Having been an estate agent myself at one point you can always recognise good service when you see it. GoogleI would highly recommend Readings Property Services. They are professional, on the ball with things and very approachable. They are very different from your traditional estate agents in they they care about the customer and totally understand the stress and pressures involved in purchasing a property. Terry (lady), Lee and James were wonderful. In particular, Terry was absolutely amazing. Honestly one of the most loveliest, thoughtful and approachable individuals working in this field I’ve ever come across. Not at any point did Terry make me feel bad about anything, she always understood background pressures and was always so approachable. I had been liaising with Terry for a few months and got the lovely opportunity to meet her today. Sounds a bit mad but it was a very emotional experience as we had always spoken over the phone so it was really nice to meet her at the end of the whole process just to be able to thank her and just communicate to her face-to-face what a positive impact she made behind the scenes. Readings Property Services are extremely approachable and friendly. I’ve dealt with a lot of estate agents in the past and honestly can say they are miles apart in terms of customer services. We were not initially aware of the chain but reached a blocker and found out (Tip: Worth double checking upfront!) Readings Property, in particular Liz with the support of James made the 5 months journey more bearable. They provided assurance, were responsive to my frequent calls and emails, keeping me fully informed along the way. They were transparent with progress and worked very hard to unblock the chain, pushing for a sooner completion date.
