The lengths she has gone to the guide and advise us through our ever changing criteria have known no bounds and stretched beyond the call of duty at times. Whilst we’ve got to know her well, and she us, throughout this time, she’s never faltered from her professional attitude and commitment to her clients. It’s been those qualities which have lead me to trust her to guide my mum through the sale of her lifelong home in Norfolk. I’ve just purchased a property through Sowerbys and I can truly say I had a top class service. All the team are friendly and helpful. Laura worked very hard to make the deal happen for us initially. I would totally trust her as a vendor and of course as a purchaser. She wouldn’t let the sale proceed until I’d given her the confidence and proof that a mortgage was available, however hard I tried 😂 Zoe in after sales support was indeed super supportive and efficient with keeping everything together until completion. When we hit a hitch last minute, Zoe managed, through her connections and know-how, to get it sorted so we could complete. We’re so happy! Thank you Sowerbys xxx

From initial valuation right through to completion, Sowerbys impressed us with their professionalism and friendly personal service. Nothing was too much trouble, and the recommendations they gave for surveyors, removals, etc proved invaluable. Misrepresentation at its worst

We were advised by one of their negotiators to view a house which was 200 miles + from where we live on the understanding that it had architectural merit and charm. At no point during our two phone conversations did the Sowerbys representative mention the words “might benefit from some updating” when the actual sad truth was that the house needed 200k spending on it with, potentially, no positive results at the end of the renovation. I know that estate agents tend to see every property through rose tinted glasses but in this case they would have needed to convince Stevie Wonder that the property had any potential. They are refusing the refund us the cost of our trip as they feel “clients who saw the house had a positive experience”. This statement does not seem to gel with the fact the house has now been on the market three times in the last four years and has still failed to sell. Sow’s ear and silk purse come to mind.

After checking their website for opening hours (10 - 1) I tried calling on Friday 27th and Saturday 28th during their publicised opening times and on all 3 occasions the phone went to answerphone. I left a message regards additional information requirements on a property costing £600,000 in the first two messages and, after receiving no response, left a final message indicating that I am no longer interested. Not impressed by this seemingly unprofessional approach and consider myself fortunate that I am not a vendor using this particular company. In answer to the response given by Sowerbys below, no call or voicemail was received by me on 30th December, or any other day come to that. Perhaps whoever posts responses should check that their information is accurate before posting!!
