GoogleUnfortunately - this estate agent does nothing to improve the image of their profession. On calling to arrange a viewing, I was made to feel as if I was wasting their time by calling in. I put that down to the agent being unaware of her unfriendly tone. Once the viewing was booked, I called to confirm on the day before. Again, they obviously have no value for the potential buyer as I was not contacted to say the property was under offer. No message, no call and when I challenged the agent, they just repeated that the message was left. When is this profession going to understand that they need to add service and value to what they do? With the emergence of technology and access to so much information; it's only a matter of time before they will not be needed at all!!!

I have now looked into your comments, and have found that as we had received an offer on the property you wished to view, which was accepted, we immediately called 5 people including yourself, who had requested viewings to cancel the appointments made. We have since called the other five again to check they had received the messages in time and they were all satisfied with our actions/service. I am not sure why you didn't pick up the message. We make it a priority to cancel any appointments as quickly as we can in these circumstances. We are sorry that you felt the need to give us a negative review. GoogleI made deposits for a flat to rent and explain my situation at the beginning that I am working as self employed and plz speak to landlord if he is willing to accept this and she confirmed this to me I spoke to landlord its all now about credit and reference check, I went many times to high wycome to take her required documents , after 10 days they confirmed everything is fine but landlord doesn't want to rent it to self employed, they were puting blame on colleague that she should confirm with landlord at the beginning.
Hello Roshan, I have looked into this case after reading your comments above regarding the way your application was handled by Northwood. Without going into details here, we have by law to ensure the Right To Rent criteria are followed to the letter and that the Landlord is happy with every aspect. Unfortunately, any application can only be judged upon in its entirety and this can sometimes take time and must be approved by the landlord. Apologies that your application was rejected in this instance but we never make overt promises that an applicant can attain a property prior to this process. We have returned your deposit and all the paperwork. We are extremely sorry that this has caused you disappointment and we wish you the best for the future.

GoogleWe were looking for a property to rent and we made an offer. We gave all the references and paid for the deposit; after a few days the agent came back to us and said that the landlord decided not to continue as the tenant changed her mind and wasn't moving anymore. Then, we organized viewings with the agent, again, but she came back to us saying all the properties were under offer. When we tried to organize viewings at other times, they weren't flexible and they gave us an horrible experience.
Hello Sam, we are sorry that you felt you had to complain. As always we investigate negative comments and in this case have found that after you had put a deposit down on a property, unfortunately, our Landlord asked us to withdraw the property as his tenant had decided to stay. We had no choice but to cancel your viewing and refund your deposit. We attempted to book an alternative viewing on a Saturday as requested, but the tenant had guests all weekend and didn't want viewings. In the current climate of high demand for rental property, occasionally a previous viewer may call to place a deposit and we cancel all further appointment to avoid wasting clients' time. We try to be as flexible as possible for our clients and would welcome any further requests to view from you.

GoogleI'm sorry to see the other review on here, and in contrast I used Northwood to let and manage my property for 7-8 years finishing in Feb 2014. I found Mark and David to be straight talking and honest with their appraisal. Each time a tenant gave notice a new tenant was found with efficiency. I had one tenant who ran into major financial difficulties through no fault of her own and their rent guarantee scheme saved me literally thousands of pounds.

We visited many agents ,but just here we meet the really helpful and professional people, who do the best hat they can. I've twice used Northwood now to rent properties and not only have they been timely and efficient, they have been friendly and considerate. It has the feel of a smaller estate agency, where you are dealt with on a friendly and personal level. Both my moves in and out have been undertaken smoothly, and the staff at Northwood have always been on hand quickly should I have needed them. Can't praise them enough.

GoogleI have let my property through Northwoods for some 10 years and have always found them exceptionally professional and attentive to all my requirements. I have always chosen their managed guaranteed contract since have do not have the time to address all the ongoing issues myself, they are continually up to date with all legislation and i am notified of my obligations. Ongoing necessary remedial works are promptly notified in conjunction with all associated costings for me to consider. I personally would not trust any one else with my property!
