"Unprofessional Service and Misleading Communication: A Frustrating Experience with Ryder & Dutton"

I initially called to arrange a viewing for a house and was told by Agent 1 via a callback after a few hours that the house already had an accepted offer.Later, I asked my wife to call, and she spoke to Agent 2, who told her they would speak to the owner and arrange a viewing for us. Shortly after, we received an email confirming a viewing for 2 PM on Sunday.However, the next day, Agent 1 called my wife to inform her that the house was no longer available because an offer had been accepted, despite the fact that Agent 2 had already spoken to the owner and secured a time slot for the viewing.Today, I called and spoke to Agent 2, who asked if I had cancelled the booking. When I said no, they mentioned something vague about the owner not wanting a chain and preferring a quick sale. This directly contradicted the earlier assurance that we were scheduled for a viewing.Frustrated, I spoke to the manager, who simply reiterated that an offer had been accepted, without addressing the miscommunication or misleading information we'd been given throughout this process.This experience has been marked by extremely poor communication, inconsistent information, and outright misinformation between agents. It has been the worst experience I've ever had with an estate agency, and I will certainly be looking elsewhere in the future.

Amy handled our sale and was really professional throughout, Amy was contacting all parties on our behalf and we were always informed and kept up to date during the process. Although I am a buyer and Ryder & Dutton are acting for the seller, Catherine has been nothing short of fantastic. She responded to every query immediately, in a friendly and helpful way, keeping communication flowing between the vendor and I. When I came into the office to provide required documentation she was always welcoming and extremely efficient. At the property, Tom was great. He was there with answers but he stood back and let me take viewings at my own pace. Between Catherine and Tom, purchasing a house suitable for my future needs was made smoother and less hassle than I expected. Thank you so much.

The most important aspect of the house sale was the good clear communication regarding the progress of the sale.Amy was always able to update me and answer any questions I had, if not immediately then by a return call. Not having sold a house for many years I did find it quote fast moving near to completion having to wait for funds to transfer arrange removal and key collection at both ends all in one day.

The Manager Alex Fitton who started a sale of property with us, was very efficient and friendly. He committed a very good price and advertised it well. The initial photo of the property was not correctly done by the photographer that we paid for and Alex changed it straight away and the photo turned out well, so it was advertised very efficiently. Then the staff were dealing with the sale. They were all efficient and friendly. When we agreed on a purchase price, a lady called Jenny, was then straightforward to me. She was very good, she phoned me about things. Any emails were responded very quickly from her. She was very good. She understood everything I was thinking about and had lots of ways to make me feel better and more relieved. Thank you Jenny. Please tell all the staff they were working extremely well. Fran was fantastic throughout the initial consultation / meeting, so helpful and knowledgeable - and not at all pushy- thank you Fran! We were then handed over to Catherine to help us manage the process including viewings / offers and then right through to completion. Catherine was always on hand to help with any queries or problems and was so easy to communicate with. in two words, CUSTOMER SERVICE! Jade and Michaela were absolutely terrific! They individually and collectively kept the sale moving forward, going above and beyond to make sure the sale was a success. An example is that I live and work in the US and they were able to help find service providers to make the property presentable for the purchasers, so they didn't lose their affinity for the property! Both Jade and Michaela, kept me apprised throughout the process. They always answered the phone and always relayed a positive attitude! It is hard to find good people in todays environment so it is a testament to R&D that they can attract and keep such talent. I interviewed several realtors to sell this property, which had geographical challenges for me. A very professional team.

It was a long and tiring journey between marketing our house and completion of sale but throughout the Ryder and Dutton team kept us updated with every twist and turn.
