We’ve sold & bought through Ryder & Dutton, the service we’ve received has been excellent from the initial valuation of our old home to completion of the purchase of our new one. We cannot praise Catherine Salisbury, our Move Manager highly enough. Catherine has been brilliant throughout the process and helped to keep everything on track, even when the lengthy chain we were in proved to be very difficult. Catherine kept us fully updated through the whole process and to be absolutely honest had it not been for Catherine’s contact and assistance, we would have withdrawn from the sale/purchase. Thank you Catherine for helping to keep us sane!

Sarah is great, the rest of the team not so much.

I would just like to start off by saying that Sarah Green has been brilliant from the start, she has been efficient and quick to sort out issues that have come up. She is friendly, approachable and professional. Unfortunately, Sarah did not have much involvement with the property condition. I wish I could say the same about the rest of the team. Unfortunately, it was not smooth sailing when we rented our property. There were multiple problems in the property, including broken kitchen cupboards, an attic leak and carpets that stunk of dog. We asked if the issues would be solved before moving in to which we were told they would be. We moved out 6 months later, and none of the jobs had been completed. We complained to Ryder and Dutton and in all honesty, it seemed that they wanted to ignore the issues. It’s quite disgusting really, I imagine not one of the staff would live in that property with all of the issues.

Excellent all round no need to look at other estate agents

Catherine did an absolutely brilliant job of getting our house sold, we were guided through the process and her idea of doing an open day got us at least 5 offers on the table, we were delighted. Kia then picked up the reigns and did an excellent job of getting us to completion which happened today , I wouldn't hesitate to recommend. I had a really positive experience with Ryder & Dutton when selling my house. From start to finish, the whole process was handled professionally and efficiently, I dealt with Bryony and she is super friendly, helpful and easy to deal with. Comms good but...

There were many issues with Ryder and Dutton in this process. However in their defence they They kept me informed as to the progress of the house sale but there were some major, worrying issues. I had given keys to R&D to allow viewings but on returned to the house following these I found that the back door was still unlocked, the trap to the roof space left open even though it was a terraced house and lights had been left on in the pantry. I had arranged for a charity to clear some of the furniture, initially they said they could come down and supervise then on the day they said they could not but an employee came to the house that afternoon. They stated they could do the same on the second time I tried to get the house cleared - then couldn't. It was a very stressful sale which led to serious medical issues. They sent emails about the progress but in many cases I found them lacking.

I recently sold my property through Ryder & Dutton, and I have to say, the experience was made so much easier thanks to Catherine Salisbury, who was my point of contact once the sale went through. The initial valuation was much too high…

The initial valuation was much too high and despite my reservations I was convinced by the agent that this was correct. This meant the sale took much longer than needed and we had to reduce the asking price and then subsequently accept a much lower offer. Once the offer was accepted the Move Manager Catherine Salisbury was very helpful and reassuring, keeping me updated on progress and chasing solicitors.

I was interested in a house being advertised by Ryder & Dutton in Rochdale. Their manager Tom Prince was a like a bully. He wouldn't let me talk to his staff Naveen who was corresponding with me on the email. Tom refused to accept any offers from me on the house and directed his staff the same. I ended up getting my offer accepted and buying the house through other channels. White goods were included in the price but inspite of microwave oven being in the list, conveniently went missing. Bad service
