I mostly dealt with Dan and he bent over backwards to help us get the property. He is totally professional and Hewitt Adams have always dealt promptly with any issues. All the staff and Dans business partner Ben have been outstanding. We also dealt a lot with Jennie and she is also very flexible and helpful. I can absolutely recommend this company to anybody such high standards of dealing with the customer don’t come very often!

From the start Ben was informative, helpful and explained everything easily including being upfront about costs - which were very competitive! They did everything asked of them and very efficiently. I would definitely use them again and recommend them! Daisy was then the agent we dealt with and she was great to have on the end of the phone or email. Daisy was always working towards our goal and spent generous amounts of time organising everything for us so we didn't have to. She put in a lot of effort and it was noticed, thanks Daisy!

The whole team were diligent and conscientious in all dealings. I received a very competitive rate that was unmatched by any of the other local agents and having sold with another local agent within the last two years, there really was no comparison. The level of attention from Hewitt Adams was superb. Best of all - communication was excellent throughout the selling process and I was kept fully informed of any developments. Viewing were regular and plentiful and the firm always sent their rep to complete them. We decided to use Hewitt Adams after our parents had a great experience last year selling their house, and we had a bad time initially trying to sell with purplebricks which had been a nightmare. Ben came to our home for a good chat and was very positive about us selling up before Christmas, as we are emigrating to Australia next year, and was very quick and efficient at getting the pictures and advert up within a day or two. I chose Hewitt Adams in total confidence after trawling through numerous local estate agents, large and small. I haven't regretted my choice for a minute. The reasons? The openness and transparency of the two owners, Dan Hewitt and Ben Adams, and the friendly efficiency of their staff. The up-close and personal touch that only a local outfit can provide. In particular, Dan Hewitt's unwavering professionalism and patience in what proved to be - for legal reasons my end - a fraught and protracted pre-letting process. His incredibly prompt response times in our communications sometimes left me standing and always helped to speed things along. Then there is the small army of dependable, quality back-up services that Hewitt Adams have at their disposal. Dan was able to put me - a first-time landlord - on to a fast-working decorator, an excellent plumber/gas-fitter for the installation of a new boiler and various less demanding tasks, not to mention his always-sound advice about fitting blinds, carpets and numerous other aspects of making the house ready for new tenants. After patiently sitting out the lengthy wait for the property to be ready, the speed with which Hewitt Adams found a reliable tenant was remarkable, given the battery of checks and cross-checks that needed to be run. It took them a mere ten days or so and the result was to everyone's satisfaction. In my case, Hewitt Adams have struck a perfectly harmonious balance in looking after the interests of landlord and tenant alike. Save yourselves some time. There's no need look any further than Hewitt Adams.

We were having difficulty selling, due to our first chain breaking down and the estate agent we were with, were struggling to find suitable purchasers. We were then in danger of losing the property we wanted. From the outset, Ben Adams and his team, were really proactive on our behalf. "I'm not even sure why I hire them" - couldn't agree more with our landlord's words. Mushrooms in corridors, fire alarms left to ring (no emergency numbers, just online forms), and mouldy flats. We didn't have a working bath for 9 months because Hewitt Adams just didn't bother with our reminders. Great when you have a baby. We had some minor things they fixed - a loose plug socket. But they were easy fixes, and us having a small child hardly helped. Zero tenant screening too - we had to provide ours but the folks upstairs who would steal from everyone else and witheld rent for 9 months apparently mustn't have? Of course no help from Hewitt Adams despite the cameras installed everywhere. Might be worth it if you're selling, but incentivised to scrimp and scrimp they do. Even ask our deposit, which they dipped into because the dishwasher needed cleaning (turn it on?) and there were specks on the floor....was probably mould since the windows aren't real double glazing. Granted our oven needed a scrub, but they didn't need to buy a new one. Nice folks though.
