Fantastic service from the sales team

Fantastic service from the sales team. I first called last year hoping to buy a property but turns out I wasn’t proceedable but the lovely Nicky gave me really good advice on how we go about buying one at Hertford. All these reviews are right she is so knowledgeable and very polite and patient.I must of driven her crazy with all the calls and questions but she never rushed us at any point. We couldn’t believe when we finally brought a Croudace home and we love it everyday and cannot thank Nicky enough for all her help 5 star serviceOur home is wonderful and finished really good, minor issues which the customer care team sorted

Croudace staff make all the difference

The entire process of buying a house with Croudace has been very easy. The sales staff (Nikki and Sarah at Croft Gardens, Knebworth) were friendly and helpful from the first visit. Throughout the sales process they went out of their way to keep me informed and helped answer any and all my questions! Since moving in and being assigned a customer care rep (the very helpful Michelle) both Nikki and Sarah and followed up to ensure I have settled in. Minor snagging items were dealt with immediately and the onsite staff have made me feel welcome and helped me settle in. I am very impressed with the service I have received.

Lovely house, nightmare experience

We finally moved into our Croudace home last November after reserving it in April. The process was incredibly slow, with Croudace’s conveyancers taking weeks to respond to our solicitor. At one point we received a call from sales saying our house would be put back on the market if we hadn’t exchanged by 5pm the next day - as it turned out, the reason we hadn’t exchanged was Croudace’s fault, but this was an incredibly distressing experience for us.Unlike most developers, they don’t give you any updates on the build. Even two weeks before our mortgage offer ran out they were still very vague about a completion date - we ended up having to move in with friends because we had to complete on the sale of our house without knowing if we would complete on the Croudace house before our mortgage offer ended and a new one would be an extra £600 a month. Again, I can’t put into words the stress and anxiety this caused.Our house has had a number of problems - faulty windows, patio doors needed replacing, our boiler leaked through the ceiling, the boiler then had issues with pressure (because it hadn’t been installed correctly) that cause it to expel water through the overflow pipe 24 hours a day - this took almost a month to be fixed. The lead flashing at the back of our house wasn’t lead, it was cheap tape which fell off one Friday night when it was -7c with rain and wind and the much vaunted “emergency number” didn’t deem this an emergency. Several of our ceilings need to be re-plastered, paint work in our house is appalling - not cut in properly, flecks of wall paint on the white ceiling. Croudace did do touch ups but they are so obvious that we are planning to re-paint ourselves.We had an issue with damp and green mould growing up the outside wall by our kitchen door, because water was dripping off the guttering. Someone from Croudace came out and was adamant that it was not the guttering, and was happening because it was “in shade” - it is a south facing wall. After probably two months they finally sent someone who immediately said the guttering hadn’t been installed correctly. He fixed it and the wall mould has cleared up. Our garden wasn’t finished to NHBC standards either. It wasn’t rotavated and no top soil was put down. Croudace sent someone round to rotavate but they didn’t do it properly and didn’t take the stones and building rubble away - we ended up paying a landscaper to prepare the ground before he laid turf for us.I will praise the customer care people (who always respond quickly and get repairs sorted asap) and Steve the customer care manager who covers our site - a very experienced builder and the only person we have encountered who takes a real pride in his work.My main gripe with Croudace is the unbearable noise. We have been here seven months and the disruption from building work has really impacted on my mental health and finances. I simply cannot work from home because of the disruption and am spending £100s a month driving to work when otherwise I would be able to work from home. On my days off I can’t relax in my own home and end up going out for the day to escape the noise. Other developments seem to work much faster and screen sections off to reduce the impact on residents but that doesn’t happen here and I feel unable to stay in my own home on weekdays. They’ve now begun working on site until 7/8pm on weekdays and now on weekends too - we now can’t have a lie in or enjoy sitting in the garden due to the noise. If you’re thinking of buying a Croudace home I would maybe knock on the door of someone who has already moved in and get their experiences as some sites seem to be great, but we have been very unlucky.One final point - Until about two months ago, Croudace’s trustpilot score was 3.3. There has been a flurry of five star reviews by people who have never reviewed anything before, many of whom haven’t actually bought a property from Croudace, some of whom openly admit they are trades who are employed by Croudace.

Wonderful site and superb staff

I called the Hertford development and spoke to a lovely lady Nicky I was quite nervous but she was so friendly and took her time listening to me waffle on about my home in Enfield (been here 40 years) so this is a big move for me. Nicky listened to what I am looking for in my new home, she made feel very confident in myself and thinking I can do this moveShe is very knowledgeable not just the product she is selling but also gave me some advice on finding and choosing an estate agent. I felt such confidence and the need to come see the home Croudace are building/selling they sounded wonderful.Two weeks later I turned up without an appointment not know if the sales team will let me view because I went to other developers in Hertford and they just turned me away lowering my confidence.I’m so glad I went in the weekend, Nicky was in and as we walked in she had the biggest friendliness smile. She let us view the wonderful show homes and she took her time in showing me the plan and what we can buy at the price we are looking for.I am hoping to buy one of there future homes in the last phase once we sell our home but I felt happy and confident after seeing Nicky face to face.All the reviews about Nicky are true and I look forward to seeing Nicky when we purchase a house thereWell done Croudace for employing the wonderful Nicky, I have not seen this sort of service in a long while so very rare

Positive experience at Willowbrook Park Didcot

The house buying process can be a stressful time, however our experience with the Didcot Willowbrook Park site has been excellent all the way through from initial viewing, reservation, move in day, and post-move settling in. Most of my dealings were with Charlotte, our sales consultant, who made the whole process very efficient. She kept up communication with myself, estate agents and solicitors at every step. Handover was made a lot easier too, with all the information for the new house made conveniently available. After moving in, Charlotte and Mark (site manager) kept in touch with us to make sure everything was fine. Any minor findings (of which there were very few) were fixed quickly and easily. A lot of the team have been great to us here and we would recommend this development. Particular thanks to Charlotte, Mark and Martin for how friendly and helpful they have been to make our experience here a very positive one.

Great After sales Service

Fantastic service and advice

I visited the Hertford site last week, didn’t have an appointment but Nikki was very welcoming and spent a lot of time with me explaining the housetypes within my budget and possible future phase as a possibility She was exceptional and knows her products very well and answered nearly all my questions before I asked. Knowing what I can afford, what’s coming up but most of a the confidence she made me feel that there is a possibility of buying my first home. Even though it’s appointment only I was welcomed and was not rushed, the show homes are beautiful and the development I’m mean WOW, Nikki walked me round the development explaining the positioning of possible choices showed me from the site gates the locations of the apartments and explained the positioning of parking and stuff.It feels me with great confidence and excitement I cannot wait to buy at Hertford if I get a chance toI saw a few neighbours who live on site and the praise they all give Nikki she sounds like a super hero sale person going above and beyond The quality of the homes there look beautiful with the residents confirming the build quality and aftercare service is really good Thank you Nikki for your time and effort and I look forward to maybe owning my first home with youI’ve been to other developments in Hertford and did not get the service or time like I did with you 😄

We have just purchased a new build home from Croudace Homes at Willowbrook Park Didcot. We are absolutely delighted with the new 3 bedroom detached house. The quality of the finish is impeccable from top to bottom. Special mention Alex for his attention to detail in doing a great job. Also to John and especially Charlotte Sales Consultants who made the whole process so smooth. Helpful clear communication every step of the way from start to finish. They both made us feel so welcome and looked after us. Moving house is always stressful but they looked after the detail so well. When we moved in and any issues all minor were quickly followed up by Mark who speedily gets things done. The whole team at Didcot work together as a team and it shows in every aspect. Buy a new home from Nicki at Blakemore Manor, Hertford. We brought our lovely home from the very friendly Nicki and from the start she’s been very welcoming kept us updated on our sale due to our long chain. Without her help in chasing daily we wouldn’t of gotten into our beautiful home. Experience was above and beyond from reservation, choices, answering our million questions to even move in day. Even now after moving in she is wonderful and very knowledgeable. We just love our home and Nicki was right Croudace do have a good customer care team who he’ll deal with our minor issues in a timely manner. Without the knowledge of the company and development I do not think we would’ve brought a new home, we was back and fourth numerous times and Nicki gave us her time on every visit and made us feel comfortable and at ease. The development is lovely and friendly neighbours Move in day was made to feel easy, the keys were nicely labelled which made it easier to open the doors without hassle, the documentation wallet was a nice touch to keep all the information together but we just love the hamper, came in handy when we couldn’t find the biscuits for our delivery drivers after the made rush to pack. All the reviews about Croudace being an asset to the company are correct. Keep up the good work :-)
