Unfortunately, we had an awful experience with Boardwalk of Bristol which almost scuppered our chances of selling in a very hot market. Initially they seemed very enthusiastic about taking the listing and, it being a sought after area of the city, they were enthusiastic about the price and response we could hope for. Photos were taken quickly and were adequate. However when we saw the description they drafted for the listing it was error-ridden and hardly applied to the specifics of our property at all! After writing our own draft, the property went live, but we were getting nothing like the viewing response we'd been told to expect, while other properties of similar quality were enjoying back to back viewings. After 2 weeks, we'd had maybe 3 bookings, no offers, so we agreed to drop the price. But still very little, and Boardwalk soon became very unresponsive to our communications. When we did get two offers on the table, Boardwalk showed the same sluggishness and then their agents simply became unavailable to mediate the negotiations that well might have seen our property sold. We realised we were NOT getting the service we had been told to expect from Boardwalk (indeed, they even seemed to be not be trying to sell our property at all) so we released them after about a month. We then took on a competitor who also promised us back-to-back viewings and that good offers would be on the table within the week. We used the same draft we had written and new photos. We had an overwhelming response and finally sold for considerably more than Boardwalk had estimated. Frankly, I can't understand all the rave reviews. More concerning perhaps is the fact that the company has since replied claiming to have no knowledge of this!

Boardwalk is such a brilliant estate agents, especially Holly at the Henleaze Branch. Holly has tirelessly helped me and my partner find our first property together, and although we are yet to buy, I know when the right thing comes up she immediately gets in touch with us. She had listened to our desires for our first home, and knows exactly what we’re looking for. Holly has always been super friendly, polite, attentive and has she’s lovely to have a non property related chat with! Keep doing what you’re doing Boardwalk!

Highly recommend Boardwalk and Tom Bolshaw. Very professional, and great communication via WhatsApp. Boardwalk do things better than your average estate agency, i chose them because of their fresh branding and website; I've been very pleased with the service. Amazing Experience with boardwalk, rhia and alicja.

We recently sold our property with boardwalk, Rhia and alicja were amazing. From the very start rhia was always available to answer any questions we had, and put us at ease from the very start. kept us up to date constantly about how the viewings went, and gave us great feedback. Our house sold within a week or so and I think a lot of that was down to boardwalk and rhia’s experience. Alicja again kept us up to date through the whole sales process, informing us of important updates and delays. She was always available to us when we needed her. And put us as ease when things got complicated. It was our first time selling a home and buying another and we didn’t know quite how stressful it would be, Alicja took the stress out of the process for us. Rhia and Alicja were available right up until we got the keys to our new home. I would recommend boardwalk to anyone. And would definitely recommend rhia and alicja!

Ruby was the sales progression agent overseeing the sale of our property . Her extensive knowledge of the sales\/ conveyancing process coupled with her calm and reassuring demeanour turned a very stressful time into something far more manageable.Ruby was in contact with us daily to ensure we were kept up to date with any sales progression news and was always available when we needed to contact her. Boardwalk Estate Agents were highly professional and delivered a great result with my house sale. I initially liked their positioning on marketing and their independence from large agency networks. What counts here during a review… is how they delivered after we selected them? They marketed our property to it’s full potential. The photography from Tim was truly exceptional, and the social media content from Natalie further demonstrated how Boardwalk differentiates from traditional agents (who rely too heavily on Rightmove). That said, our rightmove ad was ‘banging’ compared to other local properties, it jumped off the page due to our enhanced photography, virtual tour and copywriting. Our agent Holly was very personal, always available and showed her experience at every stage, she owned the process and we had complete trust in her approach. In my day job I work with a lot of high profile global marketing suppliers, and I can confidently say that they could learn a lot from a this Bristol estate agency. This was an excellent experience throughout. I felt in supportive and very knowledgeable hands while discussing the sale of my house with Michael. The photography and marketing by Tim was just super as it was realistic to how my home looked (thus ethically sound) with a creative touch. After a few valuations for the sale of my property, I knew instantly that boardwalk was the company I wanted to use. Josh provided me with so much useful hints and tips and got me thinking not just about the offers but also the sales progression side of things, which no other company touched on. As this was my first sale I felt completely reassured with josh and confident that the process will be smooth sailing. Josh’s sales techniques and ways in which he conducts viewings to subsequently bring offers to the table were second to none. Where to start - the service from this company has been EXCELLENT from start to finish. From the new home team (Holly & Ethan) who really guided me well in the initial advertisement, offer and acceptance stage - through to Alicja during the sales progression and completion. A special mention to Alicja who was simply FANTASTIC - went well above and beyond, incredibly sensitive to the situation / emotions of selling, and handled all parties with delicacy but in a clear and concise way. She is a real superstar. Overall, I cannot rate Boardwalk highly enough for an amazing service and can only thank them for getting the sale done with the minimum amount of stress.
