Matthew, Magdalena and all the team at David Doyle were incredible when helping us sell our first property and facilitate the purchase of our second. They are attentive, empathetic and give personal and professional help and advice. They are, without a doubt, the best Estate Agents in Hemel Hempstead. This isn't an exaggeration, they really are. They are the only Estate Agency that didn't pester us with irrelevant emails or calls because, I get the sense, they talk to eachother about their clients, which means that if you need help, any of the agents know of you, and your needs and wants are always cared for. Thankyou to Matt especially, for always being a compassionate and calming voice when things out of everybody's control went wrong. Awful service, we went to look at a property and the lady who showed us around rushed us around and then said come let's go we need to go now, which we found very unprofessional and rude, another property we looked at with them the agent said they were open to offers then we was told they were not open to offers by someone else, so someone was not telling the truth, we put an offer in and heard nothing for days and then finally phoned us up only to talk rubbish about how they wanted more money basically trying to get a bidding war, Charles take for ever to contact, the company is so slow at selling and helping you to buy, do not trust this company with selling your property or buying a property.

I bought first property from David Doyle's, and I'm not sure if it was the pandemic and the surge of house purchases due to the stamp duty holiday, but the experience wasn't very good to be honest. Possibly due to the stress of buying the property, I was probably a bit short and nasty at times to the staff - sorry Charles! Naturally when it came to selling said property, I used a different agent. After being on sale for several weeks with this different agent, and having very little interest, despite building a fantastic extension and converting the garage, we thought.. Should we try David Doyle's? They've sold the house-can sell it again.. The experience of doing the brochure was seamless and very straight forward. The pictures looked great, and the pictures really provided a "true reflection" of the house and what it offered. Showcasing the extension we added, in all its glory! :-) I am extremely pleased that I reached out, because after less than 2 weeks, we had multiple offers and we were able to accept an offer from a lovely couple who were buying their first home. I would like to personally mention Matthew Stone, Charles Stoten and Magdalena - I know that if we ever need to sell going forward, we'll be using Doyle's first.

Be aware of inflated valuation price to secure your custom. Within 2 weeks of having our property on the market, they suggested lowering the price. And across the 16 weeks they had our property, we reduced the price a couple more time and only got approximately 8 viewings in that time. We have ended up getting an offer with another estate agent £55,000 lower than the suggested asking price of David Doyle within a week of being on the market with them. They get 2 stars because I appreciated the effort Jordan, who managed the property, put in.

I was looking to purchase a commercial property that had planning permission to convert it into 2 properties. This property fitted my brief perfectly, I've been seeking a conversion development for over a year now, I was really excited when I saw this one come onto the market and was prepared to make a cash offer. I believe I spoke to Adam and requested to view the property, he told me he would get back to me once he's heard back from the landlord. Sadly he never followed through, I tried calling several times but each time he was busy and was told they would get him to call me back, which he never did. I went down to their office but a sign on the door said they wasn't allowing walk ins. Chasing them went on for about 3 weeks then I saw the property status change to "under offer". I was really dishearten by their lack of effort, communication and inability to follow up. Edit update: I have changed my review from 1 to 2 stars as they have since been in contact and have apologised, saying I must have slipped through the net. I have been informed changes have been made so that this type of thing doesn't happen again. My communication will continue with them as they are keeping me informed about new offers. Although they have gone quiet again. Hopefully as my relationship increases I can later improve my rating. Edit update: 9 months on and they never did make contact with me again. I feel the only reason they previously made contact with me was to beg me to remove my negative review. I have since purchased a couple of commercial to residential conversion using other estate agents in Hemel who have considerably better communication than Adam's efforts at David Doyle. Therefore I have changed my review back to 1 star.NegativeResponsiveness, Professionalism
