Bought with David Doyle, from start to finish they were excellent. I didn’t know the area at all so I was going in blind and ended up viewing the flat following a suggestion from the agent. It turned out to be exactly what I was looking for! There were numerous delays due to a break in the chain on my side but the support and communication from the sales progression team was great and although it took longer than expected it still didn’t feel too stressful!

In the first instance, Matt made great recommendations for properties in the area that suited our price range and wishes. We initially put in an offer on another house but pulled out due to issues raised in the searches and David Doyle were helpful and proactive in trying to help us find another house. When we settled on the house we are in they helped us through each stage of the purchase and kept us regularly informed. I have used David Doyle twice now and both times they provided first class service. The first occasion was the sale of a house in Potten End. I live in Bristol so frequent visits were out of the question. Steven King and the team made the sale an easy and seamless operation. They were very responsive and pleasant to deal with and achieved a good outcome. The second was the sale of a house and surrounding land in Long Chaulden. This had proved a difficult project to take to market. Not impressed. Instructed David Doyle late last year as trusted they were one of, if not the top agent in my area (Hemel). Sadly they did not live up to their reputation. Contact was minimal, updates were non existent. When I expressed my dissatisfaction I was promised a call back within 24 hours - this call never came. Therefore I have now dis instructed them. From my personal experience I think they have too many properties and seem too busy to look after their vendors.

Charles Stoten was our link agent at David Doyle when we were selling our house in the autumn of 2018. At all times he was most professional and knowledgable, friendly and approachable and excellent at keeping us up to date with what was going on. All these qualities gave us confidence during a process which most would agree can be very stressful. He also gave good advice when appropriate and when exchange of contracts was imminent, Charles went above and beyond by working on our behalf from home on his day off.
