GoogleThroughout my sale, the team at Gascogne Halman (GH) were personable and professional. During what became a protracted process (no fault of GH), Sharon subsequently became my regular point of contact. I found her to be knowledgeable, communicative (through regular updates) and importantly, tenacious in progressing matters expediently yet with the appropriate diligence. She was fantastic. All in all, a great experience working with the GH team at Heaton Moor. Would highly recommend.

GoogleWe recently rented our home with the help of Gascoigne Halman, and the experience was exceptional. I've been a tenant for over 10 years and have dealt with various agencies, but honestly, without exaggeration, this was one of the best experiences we've had. The team was incredibly polite, friendly, and honest throughout the entire process. They documented every corner of the property in detail, and all the important checks, such as the gas safety inspection, electrical safety, EPC, etc, were completed thoroughly and on time. The tenancy agreement process was clear and comprehensive, which made everything go smoothly. We even had to request some maintenance early on, and their response was outstanding. An engineer was sent out and everything was fixed within two hours. We also absolutely love our new home, and we’re truly grateful to Gascoigne Halman for making it all happen.

GoogleMy partner and I recently completed a tenancy managed by Gascoigne Halman (GH), which ran for nearly 3 years. This tenancy largely ran smoothly, but when we required letting agent / landlord support (mostly to repair or replace white goods) this was really slow in coming, taking over 4 weeks in multiple cases. In these instances, GH were quick to blame the responsiveness of the landlord, taking no visible ownership of the problem themselves. Upon completion of the tenancy, GH took over 4 weeks to get the deposit released by the landlord, despite them being in contact with the landlord to place other tenants in the flat during this period. Finally, we found the staff at the Heaton Moor branch of GH unknowledgeable and unresponsive. When serving our notice they failed to respond to multiple requests to confirm the interpretation of our contract. I was then required to explain (and was questioned on) my reading of the contract, which many tenants, who were not as comfortable with contracts, may have been intimidated by. As a former landlord myself, I understand the value of keeping tenants in place, both from a financial and continuity perspective. On the basis of the challenges we have experienced, I would not recommend using GH to manage property.

GoogleWe had an ongoing leak for our whole tenancy (over 12 months) which created mould issues. This was reported many times only to have no one come out. They only "fixed" the issue after we had let them know we had moved out because they had to take marketing photos and do viewings. Then, at the end of the tenancy, they tried to charge us for damages their contractor had done after we had left the property. They fail to get back to you unless you give them a deadline, they have ignored requests for mandatory documentation such as deposit certificates and prescribed information, they have failed to give tenants notice on multiple occasions and finally they have broken GDPR regulations as well. The staff were friendly when speaking to them, but sadly I cannot give the company a higher review due to our experience.

GoogleMy partner and I have dealt with Gascoigne Halman as buyers, and we could not have asked for a better experience. We have started dealing with GH after our first property fell through, and honestly the upgrade in service received and communication compared to the previous agent was incredible. Anyone you deal with is always so helpful and available. I know you can’t really choose who you deal with as a buyer, but I can’t recommend this agent enough - we will definitely go with GH if we ever sell our property.

GoogleI had a very good experience selling my flat with Gascoigne Halman Heaton Moor. Adam, the manager, was very knowledgable and friendly and we had the property valued and on the market very quickly. The background work he did before our meeting was invaluable. Viewings were setup quickly and in a very short time I had an offer. Thank you to Jake who was involved in this process and throughout the sale. The whole team worked brilliantly and I am happy that everything went smoothly, which is a credit to the whole office. Fantastic job!

GoogleWe have just completed our house sale and house purchase with Gascoigne Halman Heaton Moor. Sharon, George and Adam have been amazing, from our first interaction right through to completion. The team are really approachable and down to earth, but highly professional and efficient at the same time. They kept us well informed and were excellent intermediaries between the various vendors and solicitors which resulted in us completing the entire process in just 10 weeks!!!! They have been a huge support and I couldn’t have imagined going through this experience with anyone else. 100% recommended!!!

GoogleHad a viewing booked in with them, nobody called to inform us the house had been sold. We turned up and homeowner was shocked to see us outside as it was no longer on the market. Called gascoigne halman to seek an explanation and no answer, left a message and no answer. We also emailed in to raise this as an issue and have been ignored again. Incredibly shocking customer service, will not be dealing with them again.

GoogleCannot recommend highly enough! It was a long journey to sell (through no fault of the team at GH, just bad market conditions) but Kim and Jules worked tirelessly on the sale and were absolutely brilliant. All of my many requests were dealt with promptly, without complaint and without a single mistake. Really cannot fault them at all. To top it they are both lovely people and a pleasure to work with. Thanks so much team!

The sale of my house took place during very difficult circumstances as the U.K. AND ISLE Of MAN were in lock down during different periods during the sale process .I couldn’t visit the property. The property had been rented with Gascoigne Halman for 12 Year before I sold it . The asking price was set at a good level the brochure was produced in a couple of daysand the sale proceeded well .The first buyers who bought the house within days they couldn’t get the mortgage they needed so the house went back on the market and sold again within a relatively short period of time in 5 months Oct to March the whole process was completed.I was kept up to date with emails and phone calls every time there was a viewingI had dealings with mainly one sales person James but when he was off others kept me informed Sue the sales secretary was also good at answering queries connected with the sales process. As I was at a distance I used a solicitor recommended by GH and was pleased with there services I also used an insurance company that was local.During the cold spell when prospective buyers visited James made sue the house was warm enough to prevent issues with burst pipes I was also alerted to problems with the loft door and garage door and was then able to use GH property maintenance to solve several issues.I think James gave the sale a personal touchFor me the all round service GH provided was very helpful in difficult working circumstances .I am very pleased with the outcome and would recommend them

The sale of my property was marketed to a high standard in a friendly, helpful and professional manner, and achieved a quick sale.Although my purchase of another property did not go ahead due to unforeseen circumstances I would have no hesitation in recommending Gascoine Halman in any future property transactions.

Frances Mason used our family to pump up other offers for the seller. She confirmed after a long and arduous process we'd had our offer accepted. She then encouraged the vendor and buyers carry on viewings in our opinion to gazump us. She knowing didn't send out a memorandum of sale to us for 5 days whilst getting other parties to outbid us. After we paid for searches etc Frances informed us someone had come in with another bid.......from there played us off as an auction for bidding. Then told us we didn't get the house. The next day it was put as STC for the other buyer. Something she refused to do for us in 5 days. She openly admitted on the phone she knew of another bid hence when she didn't do the memorandum of sale.She let us pay for searches while using us a pawn. It was absolutely the worst experience I've ever had with any kind of company. There was no remorse and I don't know how she sleeps at night for a little but extra of commission.Openly trying to get improved offers and more viewing whilst sending us acceptance confirmation and letting us pay fees is a very very underhanded trick.

What went wrong? Well I was advised by this agency that the property had come off the market once my holding deposit was paid. Upon submitting my credentials for referencing which was with let alliance, I was advised by "Charlotte" a representative at Gascoigne Halman that the landlord has gone with another offer and would rather refund my holding deposit then proceed with my application. Honestly Disappointed with the service provided by this agency. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND GOING WITH THIS AGENCY
