Frankie was an absolute star helping us find the perfect house to rent. She was quick to get back to us and went above and beyond, clarifying all questions and liaising quickly with the landlord. She was very helpful and super friendly. Could not recommend more highly.

Just moved into my new home and I am very pleased to say that the entire renting procedure went very smoothly and professionally. Every email got answered straight away, all questions were answered clearly and promptly and my agent was very helpful and considerate! Excellent service, can only recommend Scott Fraser, particularly the Headington office team! Olga

I have no hesitation in recommending Scott Fraser Headington. Throughout the long and bumpy process of the sale of our house, Adrian and team have remained professional, helpful, upbeat and friendly. Regular updates are given without prompting, and suggestions are offered where needed and without being pushy. Thank you!

I can't thank Kierra enough for all her help finding the right property in Oxford. The process was completely smooth, they made sure we were informed of everything, and Kierra went out of her way to help us (she even filmed a video of a property we couldn't view in person!).

Very helpful and friendly. We managed to secure a rental apartment when I was in Hong Kong remotely. I have to say it’s very frustrating and time consuming to look for an apartment to rent in Oxford area. Through the help of the letting agent, we are able to survive the hassles and eventually moved in smoothly.

Managing to a place to rent from abroad is extremely challenging, yet, we were successful Thanks to Scott Fraser, especially Frankie Pool who was always efficient in her replies and answered all our queries. Thank you for making this daunting experience much less stressful:)

One of the worst estate agents I've had the displeasure to deal with as a prospective tenant. Super hard to get them on the phone. Arranged viewings multiple times and repeatedly cancelled at short notice, once only 20 mins before arriving after I had driven for one hour on the motorway from London for a viewing. I know the market is busy, but Scott Fraser lack even basic respect for their tenants.

Jenny was friendly efficient and managed hiccups with calmness and confidence throughout the sale of my Oxford flat. She evidenced her initial valuation and explained things carefully to us. She stayed in contact with me regularly and kept me up-to-date. All round top quality service. Thanks very much Jenny and SC team Headington.

All of the staff from Scott Fraser were very helpful and showed us around a number of houses before we found the right one for us. After our offer was accepted Sam Lamb was always prompt to reply to our queries and helped us to completion without any holdups. Highly recommended.

I needed to find somewhere to move into on very (one week) short-notice, travelling from Scotland to Oxford to do so. Natasha and Robyn helped me from the beginning, could sense my urgency, and did everything they could do move things along as quickly as possible, making the whole process simple and less stressful than it certainly could have been. Only downside was the app, LettingsHub (or something), which, whilst quick and very convenient at the beginning, became a burden later on, confusing (and I'm sure frustrating) both me and them in various ways. If I wasn't already in Oxford by this time with nowhere to go, this wouldn't have been much of a problem, either. Thanks girls!

Please read Trust Pilot reviews for an accurate picture of what this agency is really like. Initially I was not impressed by Scott Fraser who seemed clueless whenever I asked questions and had really poor people skills. I did manage to be shown round by a lovely estate agent who actually did have some good people skills. Then during my tenancy I was pleased to have nothing more to do with the agency, dealing directly with the landlord. Now we are moving out and Scott Fraser have gotten involved again, I have had an absolute nightmare. They conducted a viewing which was meant to be cancelled whilst I was at work and I came home to find I’d been locked out of my house as they’d locked the mortise lock which I never use and didn’t carry the key for. I had to pay £120 for a locksmith and go through my neighbours property to get to the back door for a better chance of getting in. I was told I would receive an apology but I never have. The agents have been terrible with communication at all levels. They don’t appear to talk to each other, have any answers for prospective tenants or current tenants. Their “email system was down” so only by chance did I find out about a viewing of my property that was meant to happen in under 24hrs. It’s been shocking and I felt violated when people entered my home without my knowledge or consent and then locked me out. This took a huge financial and emotional toll on me. Then just today they started letting themselves in again for a return viewing whilst I was working from home DESPITE the fact I had informed them that I would be in and working. Again displaying a complete and utter lack of communication between employees. There wasn’t even a curtesy knock before they started entering my home. Truly shocking agency.

The worst experience I've had with a letting agent. Having informed them at the very beginning that I didn't meet the affordability criteria, I was advised not to fill this part of the referencing application out. I was informed I passed referencing and everything seemed fine. Then, midway through the 530-mile journey to my new home (with my cat in the car with me), I received a phone call to say I'd failed referencing and would either have to re-apply with a guarantor, or apply using a different company, or pay my entire contract (£9000 plus deposit) up front. A new reference wasn't guaranteed to come back in time, so my only option to definitely move in that day was to loan the money and pay my entire tenancy at once. After moving in, I discovered the property information pack supplied was full of errors and only served to confuse rather than inform me. I then had to report a swathe of issues which either hadn't been picked up during the inventory or had been picked up but not rectified. These included:, faulty washing machine, areas which hadn't been cleaned (including mould inside the washing machine), broken light in the bathroom, broken shower bracket, leaking shower cubicle, bulbs needing to be replaced, 23 items of post not dealt with, thermostat batteries needing to be replaced, doorbell not working, staining between upstairs window panes due to faulty double glazing seal Furthermore, it was a condition of my offer on the property that the landlord would consider requests to add new tenants to the agreement. Having made such a request just over 7 weeks ago, we are only now finalising the process, during which time I've had to pay full rent alone on an expensive property. Now, over 8 weeks into my tenancy, some of the electrical issues remain unresolved. An electrician was supposed to visit, but never contacted me to explain his absence. Having looked him up on Yell.com, his rating was 1/5 with both reviews reporting him being aggressive. To Scott Fraser's credit, staff have been friendly, and, having lodged a formal complaint, the issues I've reported are finally being dealt with, but it's frustrating it's taken this long and required so many phone calls and emails. Update: have changed my review to 1/5 due to the extremely high deductions proposed from my deposit after leaving, and for illegally disposing of a personal item I accidentally left behind.

Avoid their rental team. Unprofessional in the highest degree. On leaving property we waited 3 months to get our deposit back, and only did so after threatening legal action. A day before moving in, we were told the property was not ready yet, meaning we lost money with removal fees that were already booked and paid for. They wanted to deduct money from our deposit for a number of reasons including garden not kept up properly (they provided photos of a garden that was not ours), and a section of wall in the flat not being painted (I promise- I did not unpaint a wall!). All in all a bad experience. So glad I'm now a homeowner and know never to use their sales team in the future. Edit- I note the business replied to this message within a day. When I requested my deposit back with repeated emails/ phone calls, it took 2 months to finally get a response. Maybe prioritise tenants more and replying to reviews less.
