Worst letting company invented. Made us live in a cold, damp house. Ceiling fell in, promised us loads that never happened. Then sent some student around at the end who said everything was fine the house was cleaned by all out parents and they charged us for a clean. They shy away from emails, take ages getting deposits back and are sharks in the renting world

Extremely disappointing experience! Fail to respond to emails, fail to rectify problems with any urgency, my friend had to sleep on the floor for a week! Charged us £180 for cleaning even though the house was spotless and left in a better condition than when we moved in! Avoid these people, they are constantly rude, and I don't know how they are still going! Useless!

Terrible service to say the least. Cowboy builders and awful admin! I have recently rented with Oasis Properties & moved out over a month ago. But yet to receive my agreed deposit. We have sent the appropriate information in a timely fashion to receive our deposit but still seem to be empty handed. Oasis Properties are unable to be proactive or honest in regards to our deposit redress, I've never experienced such poor organisation and bad service. I highly recommend to avoid this agency.

Avoid Oasis Properties at All Costs, Dishonest, Rude, and Borderline Fraudulent

If I could give 0 stars, I would. Renting with Oasis Properties has been one of the most frustrating and infuriating experiences I’ve ever had.

We've had a lot of maintenance issues that have needed constant chasing up. They were quick to fix the small issues, however we've had a leaky roof for two months that has received very little attention and communication to us about the issue has been extremely poor. Generally very nice, helpful guys however, so if you're house has few issues they're reasonable letting agents.

Hi Sam thanks for the feedback and we always like to learn from both positive and negative feedback and we have just invested in a new maintenance software system, that will streamline maintenance reporting and communication with the tenants, so this will be addressed.

Hello all, I’d like to take a moment of your time to tell you how much of a brilliant landlord oasis properties are (for mice).I have lived in a house undisturbed for 6 months now. A few of my friends have been brutally murdered by the tenants but don’t worry, that has nothing to do with oasis properties and we are still strong in numbers! We are currently living rent free like the negative reviews are in the oasis personnel’s minds-what a life, it’s a good job they keep blaming it on next door so I can continue chilling 😎. Still I write to you today still strong in numbers and multiplying by the day, you can patch our holes, but you’ll never take our freedom!

Worst customer service I have ever experienced. Tried to take advantage of first time student renters - tried to scam us out of deposit for so called cleaning bill for £300 when the house was left immaculate - in better condition than when we moved in. Appalling communication skills. Unpleasant and unhelpful staff. Would avoid this letting agent like the plague.

Deposit Refund Dispute

Absolutely despicable. They wouldn’t give me my deposit back after they said it was being processed a month ago, and since had not replied to any emails until now, after threatening to take them to court.

Worst experience, if you’re a student looking for a letting agency honestly do not go with oasis properties. House may look fine in the viewing but it’s full of broken pipes, leaks, mould etc. even when you report these problems they never get fixed, you won’t get any compensation and still be charged rent for living in a slum. Don’t even consider. Honestly don’t even know how this agency is still going

dirty houses, only friendly until they get their admin and first month's rent. if you do go with oasis say goodbye to your bond as they will do everything in their power to keep it. and dont forget about all the hidden charges at the end of the year unless you go with them again. just as bad as Avatar

Damp, mouldy and broken house

They initially messed us around with our contact and rent payments, cancelling our contract 3 weeks before the tenancy started. The payment dates are all before student loans come in meaning we had to find almost £2k. The house was trashed, dirty, damp and broken come the start of our tenancy. Simply ripping off students because they think they can get away with it.

Only gave 1 star because it wouldn't let me put 0. avoid like the effing plague. awful damp all over one side of the house they refuse to treat. so bad that it trips the electrics. Staff are rude as hell. really difficult to get them to sort out any issues. Sent someone round to paint 'flaking wall' (endemic damp) HALF AN HOUR before a viewing without telling us... during a pandemic. he wasnt wearing a mask. rang the agency to complain and the staff member hung up on me. TERRIBLE customer service, expensive rent for an awful house with brick effect wallpaper, poor poor poor all round.

They are Full of fake promises and barely respond to emails. they turn up without any notice a lot, for the price you pay, which is already too much they will also try and squeeze money out of you by over charging you for a lock on bedrooms doors which should be included for safety and privacy reasons. We found this house not in a clean state at all and before moving out, want it cleaned or they are going to charge us for cleaner's. Not a good STUDENT letting agency at all and won't be going with them again.

Had a great 2 year stay with Oasis properties. Staff very pleasant, polite and helpful. Maintenance guy Richard was great and good at his job. Don’t get the negativity from some people, had no issues and would highly recommend.

Not student friendly and incompetent. I would not recommend this agency to another student. As a student they do not take you seriously: Extensive mould took 6 months to be properly seen to. Despite prompting countless times over the winter, they continually claimed the mould problems were “fixed”. They tried to keep the deposit by incorrectly claiming we were not bills inclusive: They assume students are not going to question them. This is either incompetence on their part, or deceit in purposefully trying to keep students’ deposit.

My son moved into a house that had paint scrapings and decorating rubbish in his room. Whole house is dirty and unworthy for rent. Called up the emergency line about water leaking into fire alarm and the guy on the phone said its not an emergency having the fire alarm going all night so no sleep plus no working fire alarms???? Stay well away from Oasis Leeds

Many of the issues were resolved quickly, the cleaners provided by Oasis are good fun and offer a very good service so long as you respect them. Only reason for not being 5 stars is because of the length of time it took to change the sofas which had been completely ruined by the previous tenants. For estate agents in Hyde Park and surrounding areas I would recommend them to others. The house that we had was good value for money and was what we needed to have a very enjoyable year in Leeds.

Cancel appointments without any notifications

Have spent 4 hours driving to an appointment which was cancelled without any letter, have figured it out only after arriving. Make sure to call them and ask whether they haven’t accidentally forgotten to send a cancellation letter.

We were supposed to view 3 properties with Oasis today, I had arranged them about 2 days ago. When we arrived we were told that two of the properties we were meant to be viewing weren't available anymore. Out of courtesy I expect to be told this before the viewings, as those 2 were the only ones we were really there for. While we were waiting they were calling up their tenants and very rudely demanding money. It was a terrible first impression and we just wanted to get out of there. Seems that they have forgotten who the customer is. Reminded me of how estate agents used to treat me when I was a student (terribly) and I imagine they still thought we were. Would never give them any business.

Signed for a property on the basis it was being refurbished for our arrival. This never happened. Mould in the basement room resulted in a chronic chest infection not to mention issues with rats from an industrial bin and the property having no front door. Issues often took many months to resolve. As a student i recommend you avoid. Shop around early and view as many as possible to avoid tough learning experiences.

Signed a 6 bed property with oasis that we were all really happy with, the woman who showed us round was a 'mate' of the person who was letting the property, after paying a deposit and signing fee (equating to £350) and signing a contract with oasis we heard nothing from them. We rang oasis and told them of our concern that they'd asked us for no further information, to which they replied " we've done it all on our part", and gave us the number for Leeds Rentals who were apparently the ones responsible for our property (as far as we were aware we signed for a property with oasis, in their offices , and paid our deposit to them) - after calling this number and following it all up (by our own accord) it turns out our house had been taken off the market (no one had told us) so we no longer had a house at the end of March after signing for and paying a deposit etc. for a property in January , after going into Oasis we told them what happened, the woman we explained the situation to was rude and unprofessional, but to be fair, the man that spoke to us did seem genuinely apologetic which we appreciated. We understand this is not Oasis' fault entirely , but there has been a massive lack of communication- if we'd been given contact details for Leeds Rentals or they had been more clear about the fact the property belonged to Leeds Rentals we could have followed this up sooner instead of asking friends that signed with Oasis if they've had any emails from them yet , waiting so long and having to look up the location of Leeds Rentals as we'd never been there before due to the fact we signed with Oasis on their premises! . We put the job of finding us a house in the hands of oasis and we feel they merely passed us on to someone else and left us in a bad situation thus we would be incredibly reluctant to use them again. Thank you.

By far the worst student landlords for properties in Headingly, both in personal experience and from that of friends. It takes multiple requests to get anything repaired/maintained and the extent to which things are repaired is shocking and quite frankly a health risk (we had black mould in one bedroom, the repair Oasis issued was to screw a board over the mould); the front desk staff are patronising and their bookkeeping is either sub-par or something shady is going on as they tried telling us we had paid £100 less than we had for our deposit; we had bailiffs round at the house because the money we were paying Oasis for our 'all inclusive bills' was not actually being paid to the utility suppliers; the list goes on. I could not recommended avoiding a landlord more.

Terrible estate agents, very unprofessional and they don't care about their clients. They have turned up at the house for a viewing at 10am on a Saturday without giving any notice at all, not only that she tried to enter my bedroom without even knocking and had I not put my own lock on the inside of the door she would have been greeted by me and my girlfriend sprawled naked across the bed. When they actually do decide to give us notice by texting us to inform that they have a viewing planned at the crack of dawn on a Saturday, you'll get yourself up to make yourself decent, and they either wont turn up, or arrive several hours later. Our house was also terrible with a boiler that broke every 2 weeks, crappy cheap sofas with frames seemingly made of Styrofoam, and a fridge freezer that was about as cold as a cupboard.
