I chose Henry Adams (to advertise and facilitate the sale of my one bed flat) on the back of positive feedback I had seen, and they did not disappoint. Selling the property was a long journey but the support and guidance I had from the beginning (advertising and managing viewings) to the latter conveyancing stages and completion (once the buyer had been identified) from the Haywards Heath team was always very helpful and professional, and made it easier for me to understand what to expect. At times the conveyancing stage proved to be more complex than expected, but the team were always able to act and facilitate regularly and know exactly when things needed escalating, and keep me informed. Thanks to everyone who played a part but a particular shout out to Paul who spent a large majority of the time overseeing my case. I would definitely recommend!

OVER VALUED PROPERTY.

Our house was valued in November 2025. We were surprised at the valuation of£ 775,000. The agent said we should get £750,000 January 2026 we still had no viewings, so I told the agent to reduce the property to £725,000. March no viewings the agent suggested reducing the price to 6 something. I said under the circumstances I wanted to cancell the contract which was until the end of April. I decided to send an email to the office in Chichester explaining the situation. I had an email the following morning af 7.30am from the local office to say they had taken my property of the listing I had no acknowledgment from the Chichester office regarding my email. This was not a positive experience for us. Although communication was polite, there was no real assessment of our situation. After explaining that I have rented the same property for over 15 years with a perfect payment history, the focus was placed almost entirely on rigid criteria such as requiring a UK guarantor or 6, 12 months’ rent upfront. As a result, there was no realistic way to proceed, despite our long-term stability and full-time employment. While I continue to receive automated property listings, there was no meaningful support or willingness to consider our circumstances on an individual basis at the time we actively needed help. This approach may work for applicants who fit a very narrow profile, but for long-term, reliable tenants with real-life situations, it felt inflexible and discouraging.

It was a real pleasure working with Paul and the team to get my house sold. Paul was consistent in his determination, help and support to sell my property, He was also patient and understanding, especially when there was lots of toing and froing. FAKE GOLD ALERT Henry Adams Fine Art Auctioneers We bought a gold ring from Henry Adams Fine Art Auctioneers in a high-end jewelry sale for nearly £300. When we sent the ring to a jeweler to be resized , we were told by the jeweler that when they machine tested it, it turned out to be fake gold!! We sent it back to Henry Adams, explaining it was fake gold . Their TV celebrity emailed us to tell us, ''It was never sold as gold'' even though it was placed in a high-end jewelry sale... we never got our money back. Proper Betrug   Tread with caution.

They were great when moving in but when it came to moving out tried to make outrageous claims from the deposit and then quickly backed down when it went to dispute. Take lots of photos and evidence would be my advice!!!! Also left us 5 days with water coming through the ceiling!!

Prospective sellers, should Avoid at all costs !As a prospective Buyer I contacted via email Henry Adams regarding a property in Cambridge Ave, West Wittering, Chichester.I received a response from someone named Jane, who had 0 customer care skills!I politely asked if I could have a virtual viewing, I explained I was currently in the US, having sold my UK property 9 months previously, therefore a Cash Buyer able to proceed immediately without a Mortgage.The employee Jane rudely responded with a No, we don’t do virtual viewings.It’s a fairly normal practice with other agents, and a really straight forward procedure.Since the property had been on the market sometime, others in same area selling fairly quickly, I asked Jane if there had been any offers?Her response was they would NOT accept offers unless I viewed the property.Many people relocate around the globe, it’s not a legal requirement to personally view a prospective property, therefore I’m unclear why as a British Citizen, with cash Funds from the sale of my UK property, I was told should I want to make an offer it would be unacceptable??I asked some usual questions about the boiler’s age etc, the reply was also belligerent lacking in finesse, not to mention ignorant.It appears Henry Adams feel they are doing everyone a favour, including the prospective Buyer.The employee Jane had 0’proactive skills, did she offer to try a find the property information I requested? No.After numerous other emails from myself trying to facilitate a virtual viewing from Henry Adams, I was told Manager had finally agreed to a send me a pre recorded viewing.One that I would be unable to interact with, or indeed ask questions.I Never received this video.Suffice to say the property is still for Sale?I was also told by the same Henry Adams employee, whilst the rest of the UK property market is in a slump, Henry Adams have a thriving property market.Clearly Henry Adams of Chichester are arrogant and delusional.My advice is stay Clear if you are thinking of marketing your property with this Company.
