Fantastic interaction with L&S from initial enquiry to moving the tenant in. Alexander (Willerby/Beverley) is so professional and knowledgeable and contactable. He went through fine detail on his visit and set the search for a tenant in place. He is a great manager also. Ellie has conducted the viewings so well with fast feedback and clear questions which arose. Thanks to Will also for his work with us. This is why we had a great experience. Tony Taylor was our first and main contact with Linley and Simpson, Horsforth, and Tony stayed with us right through the process. Fantastic experience with the Holmfirth team this week.Susan was very pro active during the week contacting me with an opportunity that I honestly thought I'd missed and setting up a viewing up in double quick time and very supportive through the entire process. I met David at the property, who was super professional and also offered some extremely valuable advise. Once I'd confirmed I was proceeding Lisa took hold and ran with it very quickly and professionally with the perfect outcome.So, from viewing at 13.25 the team had it all wrapped up by 16.30.Absolutely superb service. Smart but unprofessional

Sam Preistly was dressed smartly and greeted us when we arrived. Unfortunately our viewing was interrupted when another couple knocked at the front door and he allowed the couple to come look at the same time. I found this to be unprofessional, we couldn’t get a grasp of any background noise from neighbours or traffic as all you could hear was the other couple talking. We didn’t get shown what was what upstairs as he was with the other couple the majority of the time. So took it up on ourselves to just go for a look on our own before leaving.He gave us great tips on how to apply for the property and was polite

Working with Harry to secure a property at very short notice has been an absolutely professional experience. Harry was acutely aware of our challenges when trying to source a property to rent in York. Living 200 miles away from York does not lend itself to impromptu viewings. Harry did his utmost to secure a viewing the next day, and ensure that our application stood the greatest chance of success. We were also well supported by Helen when Harry was unavailable. They’ve come up trumps with a truly professional service.Cheery lettings consultant Mairi Neale gave me the news that was received this end with the kinda glee that most people reserve for lottery wins: that the landlord at my preferred property wanted to proceed with my tenancy application which means I can start my new life in Beverley at last.This proves that the company had obviously listened to my impassioned and slightly leftfield case for being the right candidate.Mairi explained things in a jargon-free language you could understand.There was no faffing. It was only 5 days from house viewing to being told I was the successful applicant.Their Goodlord referencing tech was welcomingly fast and efficient and relatively painless … if, like me, you’re well organised and have all your particulars at the ready. In fact, although the vetting process was understandably very thorough, it only took 27 HOURS from start to finish and passing the checks.This is particularly pleasing since some similar programs I’ve used with other lettings agents just haven’t been fit for purpose.Let’s put it this way, I HAD a full head of hair when I started filling in other lettings agents’ tenancy referencing tech forms.So. 16 days before the big move-in day and I can breathe out! Well pleased :)

Great Company viewer!

My daughter along with my Grandson and myself recently viewed a property for rent. The photographs were very true to the house and a good representation. Superb experience as a landlord with L&S

I have been using L&S's services for managing my property since 2017 and would highly recommend the City Center branch. The staff has been amazing and despite managing a large portfolio, been very responsive with my queries and issues. An example was with the recent issue with my water cylinder installed privately where I have had issues with getting paperwork from the installer, Steve Noble who looks after my property was immediately on the case and helped with property inspection, coordination for service visits and chasing the tradesperson (who was unresponsive). He's also ensured that the tenant was kept happy and not too inconvenienced by the process. As a remote landlady, I was wholly reliant on Steve and the team to ensure that my property was looked after and highly reassured by his responsiveness and the know-hows in the industry.I also wanted to give a shout out to the lettings team Ed Simpson and Spencer Williams for their knowledge and support with the rentals market over the years. I highly value their honest opinions and advice, always resulting in my property being let out to decent tenants over the years, with minimal issues. We have often looked critically at the challenges and how we can modify our strategy based on the changing rentals market landscape. As a result, I have always been happy with my tenants.For prospective landlords, I highly recommend considering letting with L&S, as did I, you will not be disappointed.

Friendly and Professional, Very Good Experience

Chelsea and Mark have done a fantastic job with helping me and my partner find a home to rent. Bradley was brilliant

Bradley showed me around 3 properties in the city centre. He had clearly read my initial brief and understood what my requirements were for a property. It saved time not seeing properties that I wasn't interested in! Also, I felt very comfortable viewing properties with him, something that you don't always get with letting agents. After the viewings, he followed up with emails and even got colleagues to get in touch when he went on annual leave. These were the first viewings I had, so my requirements ended up changing upon seeing what Bradley showed me. I didn't end up going with any of the ones I saw with Linley & Simpson, but I would recommend them to other people looking for properties.
