I’ve been a tenant for many years. Will is my property manager and goes above and beyond to help me. He came the other week to help me re-pressurise my boiler, 10 minutes and he was there and all sorted.

We were very interested in a property put an offer in then had the misfortune of dealing with Ben Holmes in Ilkley branch. Our offer was accepted then we get the condescending chat where he is sounding like your parent telling you off. We live a couple of hundred miles away. I tried to negotiate with him for us to start paying the rent 3 days early then collect the keys 3 days later. He was completely inflexible saying we had to collect the keys on Tuesday one week later from having the offer accepted by the landlord. He also said we had to travel from Hampshire to Ilkley to do to an ID check before we moved in. He had no consideration for me needing to take time off from work to do this. I called him back to tell him this is impossible. Ben then admitted there was a way around it by doing a post office ID check and moving into the property three days later. He had really annoyed us with his rude and controlling attitude we pulled out of the property. Customer Service counts, he needs to brush up on his customer care skills and go back on courses. Oddly enough the property went in 24 hrs of us pulling out. It felt like he was trying to put us off by being extremely awkward, inflexible, obnoxious and rude.

I moved into my apartment in November last year and things were going swimmingly, until it didn't. I faced some bad luck and had some struggles financially which had a domino effect in the following months. I rang L&S and was put in touch with Susan Waddington. She must be quite simply, the most supportive and helpful person I have ever dealt with at an estate agents. She listened to my problems and then gave me the support I needed to get back on track. She gave me a great plan moving forward and kept in touch with me making sure I was keeping on track! She really has helped me through what has been a pretty bad 2024 and she is a testament to the great work that L&S do.

Recently had Management switch to Linley and Simpson for a property I let. Been impressed so far with level of communication from them. Maddie has helped me a couple of times when needed to make some changes, and her knowledge of the individual tenant and situation made things possible to get a resolution in an effective, considered and timely manner. It's very reassuring to know I can contact her and she'll be able to help.
