We've been renting from this estate agents for around 6 months and they have been excellent. We were able to move in without any hassle and they assisted us in the process to make it as smooth and easy as possible. Since living at the property, whenever we have had to report a problem in the house (heating, electrics etc.), they have been incredibly prompt in responding to the situation and sending out the necessary services to fix it. Mersedeh Maksabi has been especially helpful and understanding, she is also very quick to respond, and has even contacted us on occasion unasked, just to check that everything at the property is okay, which we appreciated. Would definitely recommend this estate agents and like to thank Mersedeh for her great service and support.

I want tell everyone that this company only deals with ppl if they like if they don’t like saying we not giving house . I have ask them for 2 propaty number 29 heroes drive and number 35 ward place ask for this 2 place even i offer them same price for rent and 3 months pay rent Advance they keep telling me landlord deal with another Application and house not available and i call the place asking for views they say yes available you can view it i don’t get it one way saying available other way saying house is gone end of the day you guys want rent and get paid on time i have offered 3 months rent upfront and change carpet on me house still available and keep bring rent down they not giving me i don’t understand why .

Oakman's have dealt with the sale of our house. The entire process from initially meeting them, to the sale of the house and the post communication was great. The absolute star of the show for us Alexis in the transaction team, who kept a strong line of communication between us and the buyer (which was so reassuring when there's not many updates forthcoming from solicitors) - Alexis always responded super quickly, she was so helpful and really lovely to deal with. She's an absolute asset to Oakmans, but also the reason why i would recommend anyone selling their home go to Oakmans as the service provided was second to none.

We bought a property through Oakmans and our experience with them has been wonderful. Trina, Jake and others were professional in their dealing with us. They were responsive, efficient and empathatic. Trina replies to emails and calls swiftly and have exceeded our expectations. The only thing which could have been more better was putting pressure on solicitors to perform their job in a more efficient manner. Anyway, solicitors are 3rd party and Oakmans do not have a direct control over them. Overall, I experienced great service from Oakmans and will give them 5 stars.

We had a lot of issues from this team within one month of our stay jn the new place… -Not giving full access to the property - not handing over the whole keys on 14 th. As per agreement and after paying the rent and deposit not given complete access. Atleast it should have resolved on the next day by re checking the inventory or checking the keys with us.. But instead you guys dragged us for a week by saying “ Landlord’s permission is awaiting” .. - Not holding the master keys - just holding only in the system though there was an issue happened with the keys no one checked properly after that.. -Not replacing boiler on time though its been arranged by our land lord as your master keys was only present in the system. Also We have said my husband can be home by 4 pm yesterday .., you should have sent someone. -Entering the house premises and leaving the utility supply off without communicating with the tenants We ended up calling Emergency of suspected gas leak.. - Someone came and taken the full set of keys after 3 weeks of stay by saying they wanted to make master keys without any communication… - Very bad service.. But I believe our landlord is good and trying to help without knowing their breaches…

No concerns towards the tenants living in the property for them. We are constantly facing issues right from the move in date and it's been only 10 days we filled a initial maintenance complaint and having called to speak with the property manager Josh for around 10-15 times can't het hold of him even once everytime the team says different reasons that mail us regarding the issue, he is not available in the office at the moment. No proper works were completed before our move in date, when complained about the bed bugs issues one of the team members suggested to put the mattress on the floor and sleep is this what we are paying our rent for? After all the main cause of the problem ks the mattress

Avoid at all costs Probably one of the worst estate agents you'll have to deal with regardless of what branch you go to. Under the tenancy agreement act 2019 landlords nor estate agents are allowed to charge for professional cleaning services and guess what oakmans do. So in all technicality they are in breach of the law. They cover an large part of South Birmingham and well their portfolio is built for scummy landlords Few factors to think about: Blatant Discrimination faced by people of colour during the application process ( extra checks reinforced which are not legally required ) Quality of service : Non existent and it seems that the “management staff” give responsibility to teenagers who essentially handle everything. Wouldn't wish them on my worst enemy so please make the right choice and opt for someone else.
