Brilliant friendly staff

I worked with Tom Prince throughout the sale of my property. He was incredibly patient, friendly and couldn't do enough to help. No task was to small and he was definitely the backbone of the entire process, chasing solicitors each step of the way and being my main communication throughout.Not only this but his customer service skills are exceptional, working in a customer facing environment myself I couldn't fault his interpersonal skills what so ever! There were a number of complicated issues with probate and we were greatly supported whilst these were resolved.Nothing was too much trouble which again in the high pressure environment of house selling was very encouraging. Ryder & Dutton tailored their service to my needs and helped make the sale of the property relatively stress-free.My agent Leon was professional, attentive, great in communication and very friendly. I seldom needed to chase up for an update as he kept me informed and updated regularly.The team, especially Nick demonstrated professional knowledge and understanding of the local market very well.The photographer who worked with them also took very high standard photos for the property.Although there were one or two things they could further improve on, overall they are a very good estate agent that I would recommend. Jessica williamson made my whole experience of selling and buying a fantastic one, she was always on the other end of the phone, answered any questions we had about anything, nothing was ever too much trouble. Thank you Jessica 😘 The Solicitors on the other hand where hard to reach, I felt they never really engaged with us, when you have never done this before, you look for a guiding hand with knowledge of whats happening and someone you can rely on, we don't feel this was what we got, unfortunately more often than not we felt ignored. Yes the portal was there, but never updated, it was a more of a toolfor Blackburn Birchall to ensure they ticked boxes. Sorry that was our experience.

Positive points: Branch Manager was very helpful during initial process, and guided me very well and house went up on sale fairly easily and quickly. The drawing of contract was easy.Negative points: Once house was sold, Lack of communication, I wasn’t kept up to date, I had to do lots of chasing around and even with that I would get redundant answers. Any information I was seeking from seller where agent has to act as a bridge, it was almost impossible asking them for help. Staff not very helpful. Based on this I think they are overpriced for services they give. Will I recommend R&D? No!

Recently used Ryders Uppermill to sell my property and then went onto purchase a property through them. Honestly a great experience from start to finish. The staff are very helpful, from Charlotte's communication organising viewings, bookings etc to Jenny Boyle who literally took all the pressure off me and my family when moving house. There were a number of issues with intending purchaser's but Lisa maintained a positive and helpful approach throughout.I was kept fully informed of matters throughout.The property was put on the market in December 2023 at a somewhat optimistic value and took about 10 months to eventually sell. Lisa was involved throughout to bring about the sale.
