Dont Waste Your Time

I had a very bad experience with one of their estate agent in cheadle hulme. Be aware of Omara, she views you the property and stands still and doesn't even puts up an effort to speak or show the property. A pure lack of training and wonder how bridgfords keep a check? On top, if there's other properties to see, they'd give you excuses and never deliver what they promise, delays on delays. I guess barely they have good agents and mostly its all bad. Its pitty to know what such companies has such employee who works as if they are forced to do so.

We went to Bridgfords because they got the best reviews on Google. OMG if they are the best, just imagine what the worst would be like. Gave us a very dodgy valuation 30% above what we eventually sold it for.

Do not trust them, they will rob you blind

Do not under any circumstances go with these! They will steal from you. They never asked prior to us applying whether we would need a guarantor and because it became obvious we did after application they decided not to go with us and stole our holding deposit from us. We a family with a small child and a baby on its way and they refused to give us our money back. They wouldn't budge a little bit. Not even offer a little bit back. Horrible estate agent that will rob you blind. Do not trust them!!!!

Zero engagement for deposit return

My tenancy ended on 9th Jan and I emailed Bridgfords to ask how I go about getting my deposit back.Emailed again on 15th Jan saying there had been no reply received to my request.An agent did respond so say someone from the deposit team would be in touch.Chased again on 22nd Jan advising that nothing had been heard - to date zero response.They were very good when it came to take my money. There can be no excuse for the lack of engagement. A dispute has been raised with MyDeposit.

Absolutely shocking letting agents.....slack set up and even slacker staff. Theres many more better agents to go through dont touch bridgefords with a barge pole. Over so many years we've had so many problems with reporting repairs they just never get back in touch.... and when your waiting 2 month for a smoke detector to be replaced speaks volumes, and that's having chased it twice a week . So as in many replays re how customer service is important to them...they need to buckle there ideas up. Do your research theres a lot more reviews re bridgefords dont settle with Google's.

After reading all the reviews we were really eager to work with this broker (I won't put the name) and was recommended to me. During our time with the broker we understand that work was carried out to help us but we always felt that our case was not at the forefront and communication was lacking. Even when we were told they didn't think they could get a deal for us we heard nothing else from this broker as a follow up. We felt as first time buyers , we were swept under the rug and not valued. Myself and my partner were trying so hard to get a mortgage for the dream house we wanted and had limited time and we felt we were constantly chasing this broker and they did not give our case a lot of attention. Fortunately we found an amazing broker who works for a different company who has got us an amazing deal and who has worked so hard for us. Unfortunately we did not get the same experience with the broker who works for Bridgfords.

Lee of Countrywide helped me to find a mortgage deal. He was amazing and made what could have been a scary and painful process, simple and (relatively) fun. He made sure I fully understood my overheads and what would be affordable for me and always took the time to explain things in a way I would understand. Cannot thank or reccommend Lee at Bridgfords Halifax enough!! Before meeting Lee we didn’t even think we would be able to get a mortgage, now we are set to get the keys to our first family home this weekend and it’s all down to Lee. As first time buyers we didn’t have a clue what was involved with buying a house, Lee took us through every step making sure we understood everything and made the whole process a lot easier. Lee got us a brilliant mortgage and cover that suited our needs and we wouldn’t have been able to get that without his help. He also helped us deal with our solicitors and was more than happy to help us wherever needed. Meetings and phone calls were always professional but very personable and he was great to work with. Thanks again Lee we really wouldn’t have been able to buy our own house without you. Will definitely be recommending to friends and family!

Bad service- they didn't attend the viewing. I arranged a viewing and was given a verbal and text confirmation of time etc. Bridgefords didn't show up or answer any calls to explain why. The landlord lived next door to the property we were meant to be viewing. He was very embarrassed to explain that the property was no longer on the market even. He had said Bridgford's poor service had meant he had left the agency.
