Tim and his team have been extraordinary throughout the flat sale process!! I needed to completely rely on them as I am based abroad. They exceeded my expectations! They made the process so much smoother, from the visit of potential buyers until the actual sale, constantly chasing and coordinating the various parties involved (the buyer, the lawyers, the handyman, the removal firm), always answering quickly and providing updates. They even assisted to pass by the house to switch on the heating when temperatures were negative to avoid the risk of pipes bursting. Look no further when looking for a real estate agent: Tim and his team are a dream to work with! Thank you again!!

USE THIS AGENCY!!! I will write a longer review but who has time to read when you are looking for a rental in London! Seriously, Tim was THE BEST rental agent we have used so far because he cares about you and what you are looking for, and he cares about the details, which are very important when going through this process. He was clear and responsive in his communication at every stage. Honestly, he should be given a medal for his work, it really made a positive difference to us while going through challenge of relocating to London.

In a time where renting in London can be an absolute nightmare, the team at Courtney's make the entire process fair, reasonable and clear. They do not just accept the highest bid for a place, but genuinely care who is going to live there. Being 'interviewed' for a house was a new but great experience and really made our group feel like we had a fair chance at getting the property. We recently found our new flat with Courtneys and they are easily the best estate agents we’ve encountered (and we’ve dealt with a lot!). Andre showed us round the flat and he was very informed and friendly. During the referencing and contract-signing stages, Tim (the manager) was incredibly communicative, responsive and understanding. This estate agent accepted a £1,600 tenancy deposit and failed to protect it within a legally required deposit protection scheme. Subsequently, the company, Courtney’s Ltd, was liquidated and reappeared trading under the name Courtney’s Agents East London. As a direct result, I lost my £1,600 deposit. The owner, Tim Gorgulu, has previously been involved in court proceedings relating to similar matters. When I contacted him to address this issue, his response was simply: “Tough luck.” I would strongly advise anyone considering using this agency to conduct thorough due diligence before handing over any funds. Proceed with extreme caution!!!

Our experience with Courtneys as renters has been amazing and we are very grateful for the extremely high level of service that we have been provided with! The process of moving into our flat was very professional, with Tim working around the clock to keep us informed and ensure everything went as smoothly as possible. We have experienced a couple of maintenance issues since moving in, all of which were resolved in no more than a day. Most recently, we experienced a rodent infestation, which was initially very stressful. Tim and Lauren went above and beyond what we could have ever asked for, keeping us reassured at all time and organising temporary accommodation until the problem was resolved and repairs undertaken. “From the very first contact for the viewing of our rental property we took with Courtneys through to the move in and completing all the appropriate paperwork, it was an extremely smooth and easy process. Both Lauren and Tim were excellent on communications. The applications and forms to fill all seemed very clear and swift to process and the property spec and cleanliness alongside our inventory was excellently executed. We had a couple of property repairs to be solved before move in and they were carried out straight away making it easy to then settle in. Would highly recommend Courtneys as estate agents. they may be good for landlords, but as a tenant I've been very disappointed. They only do enough, never give you a friendly advice, always pretend to being correct towards all the parts while they're really only caring of their income. Never had big things to complain but many small ones - for example using their fob to get into the building and in front of my door instead of using the intercom to get access, even when invited to. Edit: 10 years after I left this review - they decided to reply with some accusations, so it seems that they haven’t changed! For the records, I left the flat clean, and paid for the end of tenancy cleaning, like requested. But hey, this show again they are not nice. Approach with caution.
